WWE Survivor Series 2012 results [November 18,2012]

INDIANAPOLIS – As the T-shirt says, it’s not showing off if you back it up. And Dolph Ziggler found himself vindicated, validated and ensconced in WWE history when he fulfilled his own prophecy, and stood tall as the sole survivor of his Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match in Indianapolis (PHOTOS).
Backing it up isn’t always the easiest thing to do, however, even if you’re Dolph Ziggler. It didn’t look like things were going to go so great for The Showoff at first, as internal discord threatened to tear his squad apart before the 26th annual Survivor Series even started (WATCH: SURVIVOR SERIES 2012 PRE-SHOW). His fortunes didn't immediately improve after the opening bell, either. Trouble struck for Team Ziggler early on when last-minute addition David Otunga (replacing the injured Cody Rhodes) found himself subject to a multi-pronged onslaught from two of Team Foley’s aces, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston and WWE Tag Team Champion Daniel Bryan.
A last-minute reversal by Otunga left Bryan down, though, and the Harvard Law grad summoned Damien Sandow from Ziggler’s ranks. The tag looked promising initially after Sandow floored Bryan with the Elbow of Disdain, but Bryan’s comeback left The Enlightened One so beaten down he actually attempted to leave the match. Kane was having none of it, though, retrieving Sandow mid-retreat and feeding “The Duke of Decency” to the submission technician. Kane tagged himself in to execute the Chokeslam that drew first blood for Team Foley.
Ziggler caught a break, though, after Team Foley nearly collapsed in on itself following Sandow’s elimination. Team Hell No quickly dissolved into their trademark bickering, with Kane going so far as to toss Bryan from the ring. The Showoff capitalized on The Big Red Monster’s preoccupation, hitting Kane with the Zig Zag to send the demon packing. The Miz and Randy Orton nearly came to blows as well, but The Hardcore Legend’s team eventually closed ranks when Kofi sent Ziggler tumbling through the air with a textbook monkey flip, boosting morale considerably for the mismatched fan favorites.
Bryan and Barrett tagged in next, and although the brawling Englishman softened the “No!” man up nicely, Otunga proved unable to capitalize. He was promptly wrenched into the “No!” Lock, submitting to Bryan’s patented hold and bringing the score to 2-1 in favor of Team Foley. Alberto Del Rio attempted to pick up the pieces, but was quickly tossed over the ropes by Bryan. The submission expert tagged in Kofi, but “The Wildcat” was sent to the showers when Del Rio called up Barrett. The Englishman made quick work of the Intercontinental Champion, felling Kofi with the 1-2 combo of the Winds of Change and the thunderous Bull Hammer elbow. (WATCH: WADE SENDS A MESSAGE)
Next up was Randy Orton, who went toe-to-toe with his former Survivor Series counterpart (the two were team captains at last year’s fall classic). When Orton’s attempt to tag in The Miz was unceremoniously rebuked by The Awesome One, Bryan stepped in to resume the attack. A flurry of offense by the WWE Tag Team Champion was cut short when Barrett booted Bryan from the ring and tagged in Del Rio. Amazingly, The Mexican Aristocrat would escape the “No!” Lock and force Bryan to submit to the Cross Armbreaker, giving Team Ziggler the advantage for the first time in the contest.
Orton gave Del Rio a taste of his own medicine, stomping on The Mexican Aristocrat’s arm with great prejudice in an imitation of Del Rio’s own time-honored strategy. The master soon showed the crowd how it was done, going to town on Orton’s arm and summoning Ziggler to finish The Viper off. The Showoff proved unsuccessful, though, and was forced to call Barrett to finish what he started.
If only Orton hadn’t reached Miz first.

WWE Hell in a Cell 2012 results - October 28,2012

ATLANTA — There can only be one Apex Predator in WWE, and when the smoke cleared at Hell in a Cell, it was Randy Orton who sat atop the food chain after defeating Alberto Del Rio in a hotly anticipated grudge match that brought out the darkest and most vicious tendencies of both Superstars. Del Rio had made much of his supposed supplanting of Orton atop the WWE food chain, mocking The Viper’s signature poses and referring to him as a “garden snake” en route to their showdown at Hell in a Cell. Orton had not seemed his typical, predatory self either as Hell in a Cell approached, suffering a loss to the resurgent Wade Barrett and coming up short when The Mexican Aristocrat sprung sneak attacks on the unsuspecting nine-time World Champion. For all of Del Rio’s history of bluster, it seemed like The Essence of Excellence did, in fact, have Randy Orton’s number.
Of course, appearances can be deceiving.
Orton was anything but de-fanged at Hell in a Cell, unleashing a venomous onslaught on Del Rio that, despite his best efforts, the opulent one-percenter was unable to withstand. Orton opened the match with just such an attack, hitting Del Rio with knees to the stomach and wasting no time taking the fight to the outside, smashing Del Rio’s face against the announce table and turnbuckle in a matter of seconds.
With an assist from Ricardo Rodriguez, however, Del Rio was able to revert to his time-honored game plan of targeting his opponent’s arm. In an attempt to soften The Viper up for the Cross Armbreaker, Del Rio strung Orton up in the ropes before applying a hanging, inverted version of the hold that left Orton writhing in pain on the mat.
As Del Rio’s assault continued, Orton attempted to reverse The Mexican Aristocrat’s momentum with a roll-up attempt, but Del Rio kicked out and went right back to work, wrenching Orton into a second, inverted version of the Cross Armbreaker. Del Rio’s insistence on using the entire five-count came back to haunt him, though, when Orton wriggled free and dropped Del Rio on the edge of the apron, gaining his momentum back and escaping from the Cross Armbreaker again before setting up for the hanging DDT.
Del Rio managed to escape, though, and ultimately took his mockery one step too far when he mimicked Orton’s signature taunt and attempted to execute an RKO on The Viper. Orton, however, would not be denied. The former World Champion, slightly hindered by Del Rio’s attacks to his arm, swung The Essence of Excellence into the hanging DDT, connecting this time and setting up a brutal barrage that seemed to turn the tide of the match in his favor … but Del Rio had one final, wicked trick up his sleeve.
While Orton set up for a top rope suplex, The Mexican Aristocrat tripped Orton and trapped his legs in the ropes, stomping on the chest of the inverted third-generation Superstar and covering him for a two-count. With his sternum and his arm compromised, Orton seemed down for the count when The Essence of Excellence applied the Cross Armbreaker yet again. But The Viper, showing his heart, writhed his way out of the hold and slithered back to the turnbuckle, where Del Rio went for his patented enzuigiri … and then, finally, The Viper struck, dodging the kick and catching Del Rio in a midair RKO, felling Del Rio and leaving him no delusions as to who exactly he’d been mocking, belittling and baiting all along:
His name is Randy Orton. And he is still The Apex Predator.

WWE Night of Champions 2012 results [Septembr 16,2012]

BOSTON — The intense rivalry between Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler hit its breaking point at Night of Champions, as The Viper defeated Mr. Money in the Bank. While Orton vs. Ziggler was the only match in which a title wasn’t up for grabs at the pay-per-view, it thrilled the WWE Universe at the sold-out TD Garden and watching around the world. (PHOTOS)
First, mouthy manager Vickie Guerrero introduced Ziggler and ordered the WWE Universe to “stand up and show your respect for the future World Heavyweight Champion.” Then, Orton entered the ring with a fierce determination.
These bitter rivals quickly locked up, showing just how evenly matched they were. When Orton took the upper hand, Ziggler refused to back down. Orton hit a monstrous powerslam, but The Showoff countered, and soon after hit The Viper with a dropkick off the top rope.
Vickie watched from ringside, clutching Ziggler’s Money in the Bank briefcase, and cheered him on as he dropped elbow after elbow on Orton. Then, in true Ziggler fashion, he showed off in the center of the ring, doing a handstand while punishing his opponent, keeping his head and neck locked up. Mr. Money in the Bank tried to wear down The Apex Predator, but Orton twice got to his feet, proving just how powerful he is.
The rivals’ match turned into a brawl, as the fight moved outside of the ring. Orton hit Ziggler with a DDT off the barricade and then beat the official’s 10-count back into the ring, dragging a dazed Ziggler with him. Orton went for the pin, but the clever Ziggler kept a foot on the ropes. The Viper coiled for the RKO, but Ziggler countered. When it appeared the bleached blond Superstar had the Sleeper Hold locked in en route to victory, Orton lifted his opponent into the air and finally hit him with a devastating RKO for the victory.
With near-fall after near-fall, it was obvious that Orton and Ziggler were evenly matched. The Showoff proved why he’s one of the key up-and-comers in WWE, almost “stealing the show” as his tights read. But the nine-time World Champion used his experience and athleticism to outsmart and outshine the resident showoff at Night of Champions.

World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus won the Fatal 4-Way Match

RALEIGH, N.C. – In what was his greatest challenge as champion to date, Sheamus stood up to seemingly insurmountable odds in a brutal Fatal 4-Way Match on his way to retaining the World Heavyweight Title. It was certainly no easy feat, squaring off with three former multi-time World Champions – Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton – but The Celtic Warrior’s triumph cements his rightful place as one of WWE’s most dominant Superstars. The way in which The Great White picked up the victory was undoubtedly impressive – after all, he only had a one in four chance of leaving Raleigh, N.C., victorious. Fatal 4-Way Matches are especially treacherous for the defending champion as they can lose the title even if they don’t submit or succumb to pinfall. With that in mind, The Celtic Warrior’s victory leaves the WWE Universe wondering who could possibly dethrone the World Heavyweight Champion, and what the future holds for his challengers at WWE Over the Limit.

After ring announcer Lilian Garcia made each Superstar’s introduction, the opening bell sounded and each of the four gladiators immediately sized each other up. Clearly, there was a sense of trepidation among them over who to strike first. The free-for-all nature of the Fatal 4-Way leaves each competitor desperate to maintain momentum from the very beginning.

An all-out brawl erupted and Sheamus and Orton focused their attacks on Del Rio and Jericho, quickly removing them from the squared circle. The WWE Universe inside the PNC Arena rose to their feet at The Viper and The Great White sized each other up, ready to strike. The crowd waited with baited breath as the two Superstars taunted each other, only to be stopped by a returning Jericho and Del Rio.



Taking the battle to the outside of the ring, WWE’s Apex Predator and the World Heavyweight Champion once again left their opponents reeling and immediately returned to the ring to face off with one another. The WWE Universe watched anxiously as both Superstars challenged each other and finally went on the offensive.

Returning to the ring, Del Rio and Jericho formed an alliance to attack the venomous Viper and the World Champion. But as Fatal 4-Way Matches typically go, the cohesion between The Mexican Aristocrat and WWE’s first-ever Undisputed Champion was short-lived. As Del Rio and Jericho erupted, the true nature of the Fatal 4-Way was exposed, it was now every Superstar for himself.

When the dust settled, Jerry Lawler summed up the mHowever, to Jericho’s disadvantage, there were too many variables in the ring, including the most explosive, WWE’s Apex Predator. An impressive double DDT delivered to Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez delighted the WWE Universe in Raleigh, but not nearly as much as the flurry of high-impact RKOs that temporarily shifted momentum into The Viper’s corner.

As chaos erupted inside the squared circle, it would be a final opportunity seized by Sheamus that led to victory. With Del Rio reeling on the outside of the ring, The Celtic Warrior took out Orton with a Brogue Kick before delivering a crushing White Noise to Jericho to retain the World Title.

Since winning the 2012 Royal Rumble Match and defeating Daniel Bryan in a history-making 18 seconds for the World Heavyweight Championship, Sheamus’ momentum has made him nearly unstoppable. The Great White continued to build on his legacy after overcoming the odds inside Raleigh’s PNC Arena. Will Del Rio, Orton or Jericho continue to claim their place as No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Champion, or will a new challenger prove bold enough to challenge The Celtic Warrior? There were many times when Jericho was half a count away from claiming the World Title.

World Heavyweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match

World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus has said time and time again that he loves to fight. Well, at WWE Over the Limit, The Great White will get that opportunity – times three – when he battles challengers Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton in a Fatal 4-Way Match for the World Title.
Originally slated as a one-on-one title encounter against Del Rio, the pay-per-view showdown picked up two contenders on the May 7 edition of Raw SuperShow. This happened when John Laurinaitis, the General Manager of both Raw and SmackDown, announced that it would be a Fatal 4-Way Match aftter the competitors erupted in a brawl after an intense tag team battle on Raw.
Sheamus has been on an absolute tear since capturing the World Heavyweight Title from Daniel Bryan in a history-making 18 seconds at WrestleMania (PHOTOS), including hard-fought victories over the former champion in a 2-out-of-3 Falls rematch at Extreme Rules (PHOTOS) and a tremendous win over The World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry on SmackDown. WWE Extreme Rules 2012 results [April 29,2012]

Randy Orton def. Kane (Falls Count Anywhere Match)


CHICAGO –In an all-out brawl that went all over the sold-out Allstate Arena, Randy Orton gained a measure of retribution over Kane in a Falls Count Anywhere Match, vanquishing The Big Red Monster with a vicious RKO onto a steel chair.

The rules of this contest were designed to be simple, yet brutal. Pinfalls and submissions could be counted anywhere inside the arena, leaving both Superstars to their devices. Orton had vowed to show Kane how sick and twisted he could get and did just that.

It didn’t take long for things to get extreme, as Kane grabbed a lead pipe, setting off a brawl that saw the Superstars batter each other with all sorts of objects as they went out into the WWE Universe and backstage.

The match at Extreme Rules seemed to be the only way to settle things between the two. After Kane’s victory over The Viper at WrestleMania XXVIII, matters between the two Superstars intensified. Orton survived a vicious steel chair attack by Kane, defeating him in a No Disqualification Match on SmackDown. That same chair served as the tool to seal Kane’s end on pay-per-view.

The Big Red Monster took things to an extremely personal level soon after, attacking the father of The Viper, WWE Hall of Famer Cowboy Bob Orton, with a lead pipe on SuperSmackDown Live.

WWE’s Apex Predator tried to retaliate several weeks later on Raw SuperShow by locking Kane’s father, Paul Bearer, in a freezer. The Big Red Monster, however, could not have cared less, as he removed Bearer from the chilly enclosure for a spell, then putting him back on ice. The coldest blow, however, would come at Extreme Rules.

The end of this cruel contest brings the rivalry between Orton and Kane full-circle. During a Street Fight last summer on SmackDown, it was also a chair-assisted RKO that felled the giant. On that evening, Kane shook the hand of The Viper, a rare show of respect that sent The Devil’s Favorite Demon on a journey to shed himself of any humanity. Since returning to SmackDown, Kane has set his sights on Orton, aiming to exercise any trace of decency left in his demonic body.

In his continuing effort to make hatred the prevailing emotion in WWE, Kane targeted Orton, trying to bring out the real Viper and make him an instrument of destruction. The Big Red Monster may have succeeded, but unfortunately, Orton set out to destroy Kane.

At Extreme Rules, there was neither respect nor humanity between the two Superstars, just animosity. When all was said and done, it was Randy Orton who walked away from the carnage.

A WrestleMania rematch of epic proportions, the diabolic match stipulation will provide the perfect grounds for Orton and Kane to exorcise their inner demons (WRESTLEMANIA PHOTOS). No strangers to brutal, dangerous bouts, it’s safe to assume that WWE's Apex Predator and resident monster will take each other to the edge on Sunday, April 29, to determine who will put the exclamation point on what has been a year’s worth of dissension.  
The roots of this intense rivalry date back to July of last year, when Orton and Kane battled in an unforgettable Street Fight on SmackDown. In an effort to purge his humanity, Kane repeatedly struck Orton with a steel chair, an object that he brandished often over the course of the bout. (WATCH)
After the Street Fight ended, Kane, limping and battered, staggered over to the victorious Orton — who was also limping from multiple, horrific chair blasts — and, in an unexpected moment, extended his hand to WWE's Apex Predator in the ultimate sign of respect. Orton took Kane’s hand and the two shook as men.
After battling John Cena for months on end, The Big Red Monster returned to Friday nights to find closure with The Viper — with a profound desire to expunge himself of all traces of humanity.
Stalking The Viper for weeks on end, Kane would soon face Orton at WrestleMania in a bout that ended with a victory for The Devil's Favorite Demon, courtesy of a ring-shaking chokeslam off the top rope (PHOTOS). Then, just five nights later on SmackDown, Orton defeated Kane in a vicious No Disqualification Match. The Viper got some redemption after his loss on The Grandest Stage of Them All, overcoming a ruthless steel chair assault to plant Kane with a resounding RKO. Instead of putting an end to this rivalry, however, Orton’s victory only worked to raise the ire of the monster. (WATCH)
On SuperSmackDown LIVE: Blast from the Past on April 10, Orton’s world went red during his match against Mark Henry when Kane’s pyrotechnics interrupted the bout. Kane then appeared on the TitanTron to reveal that he had attacked Randy’s father and WWE Hall of Famer "Cowboy" Bob Orton, who lay motionless at the monster’s feet. The Viper rushed backstage to help his dad, but Kane was waiting in the shadows with a pipe. (WATCH)
The assault on two generations of Ortons brought WWE’s Apex Predator past his breaking point. On the April 20 episode of SmackDown, Orton emphatically stated his intentions for their Falls Count Anywhere Match at Extreme Rules, saying, "Kane’s going to find out how sick and twisted I can be."
When they faced each other a year ago in a Street Fight on SmackDown, there was a mutual respect between Orton and Kane. This time around, that once-held respect is replaced by pure, simple hatred. The Street Fight ended with an RKO that drove the monster’s skull down onto a steel chair. But now that Kane has fully exorcised his humanity, will their rematch at Extreme Rules have a different result? Or will WWE’s Apex Predator finally get retribution on The Big Red Monster?

WWE WrestleMania XVIII 2012 results [April 1,2012]

The uneasy alliance of Divas Champion Beth Phoenix and Eve may have entered the Divas Tag Team Match at WrestleMania XXVIII with experience on their side. However, Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos hoped to clinch a better result through chemistry as the dynamic Divas duo joined forces on The Grandest Stage of Them All. (PHOTOS)
Kelly Kelly found herself embroiled in this battle due to her disapproval of Eve’s self-serving actions toward Zack Ryder in recent months. Their rivalry became heated as Eve and The Glamazon grew jealous of Kelly Kelly’s appearance on NBC’s “Extra.” That envy led Phoenix and Eve to direct their ire at Menounos, the co-host of “Extra,” in the middle of a broadcast and triggered a WrestleMania challenge that Kelly Kelly and Menounos accepted.


Eve and Kelly Kelly grappled to a standstill at the bout’s outset until the blonde battler’s early tag to Menounos sent the momentum in the direction of their opponents. The Glamazon continued the barrage on the “Extra” host, but Eve’s showboating allowed Menounos to bring Kelly Kelly back into action.
The momentum shifted away from Phoenix and Eve as Kelly Kelly’s high-flying antics kept her side in the match, which included an impressive counter of the Divas Champion’s signature Glam Slam. Menounos capitalized on the ensuing scrum to sneak up on Phoenix with a roll-up pin to seize her first WrestleMania victory before a Sun Life Stadium record crowd of 78,363.
With the victory, Kelly Kelly and Menounos each accomplished individual achievements as well. Kelly Kelly can now boast her first-ever WrestleMania win following her appearances in Divas tag team action at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania and WrestleMania XXVI. Menounos, who will now resume training for ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” remains undefeated in WWE competition after also finding success in a Six-Diva Tag Team Match on Raw in 2009.

This epic clash between two of the most explosive and unpredictable Superstars of all-time dates back to an intense Street Fight between the former World Champions on a summer evening last July on SmackDown. Following the contest, the victorious Orton shook Kane’s hand, showing his respect for the WWE veteran. However, at The Show of Shows there was little respect between the two ring warriors as they waged war inside Sun Life Stadium, each immediately trying to build momentum from the moment the opening bell rang.

The Viper wasted no time unleashing a flurry of punches against The Big Red Monster. But Kane’s sheer size and power allowed him to counter Orton’s offense. The two Superstars battled back and forth, trading blows, Kane using his raw power to his advantage while The Viper remained relentless. As the momentum shifted back and forth, both ring warriors sought out the perfect strategy, both mixing their technical skills with their all-out brawling abilities. (PHOTOS)As far as The Show of Shows is concerned, WWE’s Apex Predator walked into Sun Life Stadium with victories in his last two consecutive WrestleMania contests. In contrast, the bout in Miami marked Kane’s first WrestleMania singles match since defeating Chavo Guerrero in 8 seconds at WrestleMania XXIV. The WWE Universe could debate back and forth for hours on Facebook and Twitter about whether Orton or Kane had more to prove, but at The Showcase of the Immortals, the ring warriors knew they had to lay everything on the line.

One of the fiercest rivalries in WWE is set to explode on The Grandest Stage of Them All and engulf the squared-circle in flames. At WrestleMania on April 1 in Miami, the WWE Universe will witness an epic showdown when ice-cold Randy Orton battles the fiery Kane.
The fuse to this volatile showdown was lit weeks ago on the Mar. 2 edition of SmackDown. Although Randy Orton returned from injury to face Daniel Bryan, his retribution was interrupted by The Big Red Monster. After causing Orton to lose the match by count-out, Kane brawled ringside with WWE’s Apex Predator. The melee culminated when Kane delivered a devastating chokeslam and the eerie words, “Welcome back, Randy.” The disturbed and enigmatic monster left both Orton and the WWE Universe confused as to the motivation behind the assault.
Several days later on the Mar. 5 edition of Raw SuperShow, Kane’s victory celebration over R-Truth was fleeting as a vengeful Viper came to the ring and hit his antagonist with a searing RKO. Orton also had a verbal rebuttal for The Devil’s Favorite Demon: “It’s good to be back.”
Four days later on SmackDown, amidst the conflict between General Managers Theodore Long and John Laurinaitis, Orton and Kane again clashed, brawling as the show went off the air.
When The Viper demanded an explanation from his adversary one week later, Kane surprisingly obliged and revealed footage of a Street Fight between the two brutal Superstars from SmackDown last summer. After losing the match, Kane offered a handshake – a rare show of humanity from The Big Red Monster. Still haunted by memories of this weakness, Kane vowed vengeance on Orton and promised to decimate him on The Grandest Stage of Them All at WrestleMania XXVIII.
Two of the most uncontrollable forces in WWE are on collision course. Will Kane exorcise his demons or will Randy Orton extinguish The Big Red Monster’s flames? Or will this explosive match guarantee mutually assured destruction? The answers lie in Miami on April 1 when Randy Orton meets Kane at The Showcase of the Immortals.

Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos vs. Divas Champion Beth Phoenix and Eve

Maria Menounos is stepping back into the squared circle again, and this time it'll be on The Grandest Stage of Them All. The host of NBC's Extra will team up with Kelly Kelly to take on Divas Champion Beth Phoenix and Eve at WrestleMania XXVIII on April 1.
It's a match two years in the making, as Beth and Eve have been caught in a bitter rivalry since late 2009. Menounos, who scored a shocking pinfall over Phoenix in an Eight-Diva Tag Team Match at WWE Tribute to the Troops in December, may face her toughest challenge yet in Miami, as both Beth and Eve want to teach a stern lesson to the versatile entertainer and competitor on Dancing with the Stars.
Menounos had invited some WWE Divas to chat with her on Extra, but Beth and Eve were nowhere to be found on the guest list. Instead, first it was Alicia Fox and The Bella Twins, and most recently Kelly Kelly, who got the call. The Glamazon seemed especially angered by Menounos' choice in Divas, claiming that "she doesn't respect the WWE Divas Champion."
A master intimidator, Phoenix took extreme measures to make sure Menounos couldn't simply shrug off The Glamazon's complaint. Beth and Eve flew out to L.A., crashed the set of Extra during a Kelly Kelly interview and got physical with Menounos before being pulled off by security. But Maria would not be rattled by the heated scuffle, and accepted Beth's challenge for WrestleMania without hesitation.
Beth has long taken exception with the fact that Kelly Kelly is the Diva most embraced by the media while The Glamazon has impressively held the coveted title for over five months and counting. Eve, on the other hand, feels entitled to fame, power and everything else she desires, and hasn't been afraid to break Superstars' hearts as she high-heel steps her way to the top. The determined vixen hasn't cared about losing friends, either. She continually shrugs off Kelly Kelly's harsh criticism on Twitter and it remains to be seen if the two will ever be able to mend their fractured relationship.
Menounos has performed quite admirably in WWE action, as she also was on the winning side of a Six-Diva Tag Team Match on the Oct. 12, 2009 edition of Raw. Menounos, a guest star that night, didn't back down from The Glamazon in that contest as well, giving Phoenix a slap in the face that was never forgotten. However, Beth and Eve have looked more dangerous than ever lately and ready to show why they're the cream of the crop in the Divas division – and why the entertainment show anchor doesn't belong in a WWE ring, let alone at The Show of Shows.
Will Menounos be able to prove the dominant duo wrong? Can Kelly Kelly humble Eve with physical punishment rather than tweets? Expect both scores to be settled at WrestleMania XXVIII.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2012 preview

At WWE Elimination Chamber, World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan will defend his title against five other Superstars in the SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match. With a chance to headline WrestleMania at stake, Bryan will be challenged inside the massive structure by Randy Orton, Wade Barrett, Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes, Big Show and The Great Khali.

The World Heavyweight Champion will truly have the odds stacked against him once again when he steps into the Elimination Chamber on Feb. 19. Each Superstar participating will draw a number from one to six. The competitors who pick one and two will start off the match, while the other combatants will be locked in individual pods, waiting to enter the melee at regularly scheduled intervals. Superstars will be eliminated if they are pinned or submit. The last competitor standing will walk into WrestleMania the World Heavyweight Champion.

Bryan has never been inside the Elimination Chamber. However, the champion has managed to escape every predicament he’s found himself in in recent months. At the Royal Rumble, Bryan was trapped inside a steel cage with Big Show and Mark Henry. The World Heavyweight Champion wriggled free from the grip of The World’s Largest Athlete and escaped, still in possession of the title. Unfortunately for him, there is no escaping the Elimination Chamber. Can the crafty champion still find a way to retain his title?

Randy Orton is the most experienced Superstar in this match, having already been a part of four Elimination Chamber Matches. The Viper has yet to win one, but is extra hungry for gold after returning from injury and settling his score with Wade Barrett, who will also be locked in the Chamber.

The Barrett Barrage is tailor made for this type of showdown. Barrett holds the ideal combination of ruthless nature, English tenacity and unbridled ambition. Having never won a World Title, the Elimination Chamber could be the perfect opportunity for him to finally rise above.

SmackDown’s Elimination Chamber Match features not one, but two giants. The presence of Big Show and The Great Khali will make winning a tall task for anyone in their path. The World’s Largest Athlete will be looking to get his hands on Bryan, who ended his most recent World Title reign in a mere 90 seconds and has not let him forget it since. Khali, a replacement for the suspended Mark Henry, has his eyes set on becoming a two-time World Heavyweight Champion and will try to demolish anyone brave enough to attempt stopping him.

Cody Rhodes may have the most to gain in this match. The Intercontinental Champion has made it known that he intends on simultaneously adding the World Heavyweight Championship to his trophy case. This may be his best chance to accomplish that goal, though he is also competing in his first Elimination Chamber Match.

With the World Heavyweight Championship hanging in the balance, these WWE Superstars are sure to put it all on the line in this career-altering bout. The Road to WrestleMania runs through Elimination Chamber, live on pay-per-view, Feb. 19 at 8/7 CT.

WWE Royal Rumble 2012 results [January 29,2012]

ST. LOUIS — WWE fans are going to see a fight at this year’s WrestleMania.

Using his brute strength to triumph over 29 other Superstars, the mighty Sheamus was victorious in the Royal Rumble Match, dumping Chris Jericho to earn a World Title opportunity against a champion of his choosing at WrestleMania XXVII on April 1. (PHOTOS)

It was a grueling battle for the powerhouse who drew No. 22. Entering before a sold-out crowd that had already witnessed Ricardo Rodriguez rolling to the ring in an ’85 Datsun, Kofi Kingston walking on his hands to avoid elimination and Michael Cole jumping over the top rope to escape the wrath of Kharma, The Celtic Warrior immediately made his presence felt by launching Kingston out of the ring.

From there, the Rumble became a demolition derby of battered bodies and unpredictable arrivals. Booker T, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole all left the broadcast booth at one point to try their luck in the bout, but were quickly sent back to their announce table with damaged egos. Old school fan favorites like Mick Foley, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan and Road Dogg returned to rousing ovations — only to be chucked from the squared circle by dangerous upstarts like Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett. Big Show, twice a runner-up in the Rumble, made a huge impact from the 30 spot, tossing Jack Swagger, Rhodes, The Miz and Ziggler in rapid succession.

When the Royal Rumble Match came down to the all-important final four, it was Big Show, Sheamus, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton left standing in the ring. Quickly, though, the 30-man melee was left to two men as The Viper heaved The World’s Largest Athlete only to be immediately eliminated by Jericho.

WWE fans, knowing they would see a first time Royal Rumble Match winner tonight, began to shake the Scottrade Center as Y2J and The Great White waged a dramatic battle for supremacy. When Jericho sent Sheamus over the top rope, the big man hung on and came right back. When The Celtic Warrior dismissed his opponent, Jericho would find a way to return.

The back-and-forth brawl pushed both men to their physical limit before the nefarious Superstar made the mistake of going for his patened Codebreaker. Snatching Jericho in midair, Sheamus deposited the man who promised “the end of the world” over the top rope and then blasted him with The Brogue Kick to make sure he was gone for good.

It was an important victory for the SmackDown Superstar. A year ago, The Celtic Warrior’s WrestleMania XXVI bout against Daniel Bryan was bumped from the card at the last minute. This year, he’ll be competing for a World Title. Don’t expect The Great White to let this opportunity slip through his fingers.

ST. LOUIS – Even when aligned with a trio of devious Divas like The Bella Twins and Natalya, WWEDivas Champion Beth Phoenix ultimately has no friends or enemies – only challengers. And before a capacity crowd at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, The Glamazon didn’t need much help to crush the challenge from the alliance of Kelly Kelly, Eve, Alicia Fox and Tamina during the Eight-Diva Tag Team Match at the 25th anniversary of the Royal Rumble. (PHOTOS)

Phoenix imposed her will on the match’s outcome after sensing a momentum shift from Kelly Kelly’s high-flying tactics which leveled all of the Divas at ringside simultaneously. The Glamazon took control of the action by ordering her own teammate to get out of the ring and then tagging herself in before nailing Kelly Kelly with a Glam Slam moments later to seal the victory.

While Phoenix put the exclamation point on the win for her side, it wasn’t entirely for lack of effort on her fellow Divas’ part. Until Phoenix reversed her fortunes, Eve put on a strong performance and managed to keep her focus on her opponents rather than the looming presence of Kane within the arena. The Bella Twins also kept their chances alive by mustering some Twin Magic to halt an assault by Alicia.

The result puts Natalya and The Bella Twins alongside Phoenix in the win column, but it doesn’t put anyone closer to contending against the reigning Divas Champion. Phoenix proved that The Road to WrestleMania will be a long one for any Divas hoping to challenge The Glamazon for championship gold.

WWE TLC results [December 18,2011]

Randy Orton def. Wade Barrett (Tables Match)

The Tables Match was the perfect place for these competitors to settle the score and for The Viper to come uncoiled. In an environment that allows underhanded tactics, one of the Superstars could only earn victory in a very specific way, and no matter how fast the flurry of The “Barrett Barrage” came through, he couldn’t put Orton through a table.

One year ago when Orton was WWE Champion, Barrett and The Viper squared-off at WWE Bragging Rights and again at Survivor Series for the title. However, the British grappler may have been more concerned with humiliating John Cena at the time and ultimately underestimated WWE’s Apex Predator. Tonight, inside the 1st Mariner Arena, Wade Barrett’s sole focus was on the third-generation Superstar, but he still couldn’t conquer The Viper.

With an already sordid history between the two competitors, Barrett had built a fair share of momentum. After earning an underhanded victory against Orton on SmackDown, then leading Team Barrett to a triumph over Orton and his squad at Survivor Series, it seemed that momentum was clearly in favor of the “Barrett Barrage.” However, the inside of Orton’s head is a twisted and dangerous place, and it seemed that as Barrett stalked and taunted him over recent weeks, WWE’s Apex Predator simply became more enraged.

Battling in and out of the ring, there were a few moments where the WWE Universe held their breath, waiting for one of the Superstars to crash through a table. But as the action continued, Barrett proved his fighting spirit and toughness, but the unpredictability of Randy Orton proved to be too much. Perhaps it is that same unpredictability that gave WWE’s Apex Predator an edge. Barrett believed he was inside Orton’s head, but with each explosive blow dealt by the nine-time champion, it was clearly not the case.

That impulsive attitude and competitive style of the third-generation Superstar is what led to Barrett’s demise at WWE TLC. At any time and RKO can strike and be devastating, but the bare-knuckled brawler learned it can be much worse when a table is involved. As Barrett dove from the middle-rope, trying to put Orton through the table, The Viper rolled out of the way and caught the British Superstar with a mid-air RKO that split the table in two.

How will The “Barrett Barrage” rebound? Will he still have his sights set on Orton? Find out on SmackDown, this Friday at 8/7 CT only on Syfy.


Divas Champion Beth Phoenix def. Kelly Kelly

Fresh off her award for Divalicious Moment of the Year at the 2011 Slammy Awards (WATCH), challenger Kelly Kelly entered the contest with both momentum and the support of the WWE Universe on her side, as the Baltimore crowd cheered loudly for the beautiful Diva.

Evidently not forgetting the smack she received from the former Divas Champion at the Slammys, “pin-up strong” Beth Phoenix mockingly asked for another one from Kelly Kelly. She received it and more as Phoenix found herself on the wrong end of a beat down to start the match.

However, the Divas Champion turned the tides and began imposing her will. The Glamazon battered her opponent with an array of strikes, submission attempts and slams, nearly getting the pinfall multiple times.

Kelly Kelly battled back courageously against the physically intimidating Phoenix, using everything in her arsenal. Plucky in the face of danger, she showed everyone again that she is tough and wily, in addition to being stunningly gorgeous.

In the end though, The Glamazon gained control of the match with sheer power, utilizing a rare inverted electric chair to seal the victory over her Divalicious opponent.

Kelly Kelly may not have won the title, but she made even more fans with her gutsy performance. Phoenix, meanwhile, continued her dominance over the Divas Division and again demonstrated what it means to be pin-up strong.

Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett (Tables Match)

Viper is defined as any snake belonging to the family Viperidae, characterized by protruding venom-conducting fangs.

Most men would steer clear of such a malevolent creature but Wade Barrett has proven himself to be bolder than most men. Since winning WWE NXT’s inaugural season, Barrett has managed to work his way up WWE’s food chain, first as the leader of The Nexus, then as founder of The Corre and now as the one man “Barrett Barrage.” The former bare-knuckled fighting champion is looking to knock off Randy Orton as WWE’s “Apex Predator.”

In Liverpool, England, on SmackDown, Barrett managed to escape the RKO and used a thumb to Orton’s eye to steal a victory. If that weren’t enough, Team Barrett outlasted Team Orton at Survivor Series when Barrett pinned The Viper with the help of his fellow survivor, Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes. (PHOTOS)

Since then, the British grappler has been stalking Orton and has made it clear that he feels beating the youngest World Heavyweight Champion once and for all will clear his path to holding that same prize.

On the Dec. 9 edition of SmackDown, Randy Orton defeated Dolph Ziggler faster than Wade Barrett, and as a result of that Beat The Clock challenge, won the right to choose the stipulation for their match at TLC. Without a word being spoken, Barrett “suggested” a Tables Match and Orton “agreed” at the expense of Ziggler. (WATCH)

Will it be Orton or Barrett looking over a broken table and possibly also the broken body and spirit of their opponent? We’ll find out on Dec. 18 at TLC.

WWE Survivor Series 2011 results[November 20,2011]

NEW YORK CITY – If there was any doubt if Wade Barrett could make a resurgence in WWE, he removed all of it inside a sold-out Madison Square Garden by leading his team to an emotional victory over Team Orton in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match. Team Barrett went into the battle with Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Hunico and United States Champion Dolph Ziggler. Team Orton brought Sheamus, Mason Ryan, WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston and Sin Cara to the fight.
The action started with Kingston and Ziggler going toe-to-toe. When Orton was tagged in, The Viper struck instantly, quickly eliminating the United States Champion with an RKO.
But Team Orton then lost a member of its own when Sin Cara was left unable to compete after suffering a ruptured patella tendon while leaping from the ring to the arena floor (FULL STORY).
When the action resumed following Sin Cara’s injury, Rhodes eliminated Ryan with Cross Rhodes, giving Team Barrett a 4-3 advantage over Team Orton. Next, Barrett took out Kingston with Wasteland, increasing the lead to 4-2.
With emotions running high, Sheamus was disqualified for repeatedly kneeing Swagger in the head and refusing to heed the ref’s call to stop. After being disqualified, Sheamus blasted Swagger again for good measure – leaving the door open for Orton to eliminate Swagger, making it 3-1.
Despite the odds against him, a fired up Viper stood his ground and did not back down from his foes. Backed into a corner, The Viper showed his fangs, eliminating Hunico with a mid-air RKO.
But the odds were too much to overcome, even for WWE’s Apex Predator. After Orton dropped Rhodes with an RKO, Barrett swooped in and hit Wasteland on The Viper, leaving Barrett and Rhodes as the remaining survivors – and continuing the "Barrett Barrage."
With the historic win, Barrett’s name will now be mentioned among some of WWE’s greats, who also made history at Survivor Series. In 1990, Undertaker made his dark presence known. And in 1996, The Rock debuted in MSG, where he was the sole Survivor for his team.
And despite his loss, Orton still boasts one of the most prolific histories ever at Survivor Series, including his 2004 and 2005 appearances, when he was sole Survivor for his team.

With the beautiful Divas of WWE surrounding the ring on every side, Beth and her No. 1 contender set the ring ablaze from the opening bell. Despite Beth’s reputation for all-out supremacy, her fierce foe’s skill shined though, setting the stage for an incredible contest of guts and determination.
However, when the Divas Champion gained the advantage in their struggle on top of the ropes, she used her trademark finisher to drive her opponent to the canvas for the victory.   
For several months, The Glamazon & Natalya set themselves up as a ruthless brand apart. Passing judgment on the so-called “Barbie dolls” – Divas who they consider lesser overall competitors – the dominant duo set out to make the objects of their scorn scream at any chance they got.
After The Fabulous Firebird overcame Eve at Vengeance, she and Natalya continued their mean-spirited attempts to break the will of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu-trained Diva, stealing her gear (FULL STORY) and Tweeting out pictures mocking her and toying with her golden ring attire.
With the support of Divas Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox, Eve would fight back in the weeks that followed. First, she scored a tremendous measure of retribution on the Oct. 31 Raw SuperShow, dumping Natalya out of the ring to win a No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal to earn a rematch against Beth at Survivor Series. Then, she added insult to injury, heisting their powerful adversaries’ rental car. (WATCH) 
With so many Divas playing key roles in the circumstances leading up to the Divas Title showdown, it was destiny that they would all play a part in the moment of truth. Earlier this week, WWE.com announced that Beth’s match against Natalya would be a Lumberjill Match.
In the Silver Anniversary of WWE’s second longest running pay-per-view, Divas Champion Beth Phoenix demonstrated once again why she is pin-up strong. Whether there is a Diva in WWE that will dare stand up to her dominance now remains to be seen.

WWE Vengeance results [October 23,2011]

While many things have changed for Rhodes since he faced his one-time mentor Randy Orton at Wrestlemania XXVI, one thing hasn’t, Cody Rhodes still hasn’t been able to knock Orton off the pinnacle of WWE’s food chain as its Apex Predator.

Heading into Vengeance, Randy Orton split open Rhodes’ scalp using the ring bell and Rhodes responded by embarrassing Orton by knocking him cold and putting a paper bag on his head. However, it seems Rhodes strategy of trying to get inside the infamously unstable psyche of Orton only made The Viper more venomous.

Rhodes unloaded everything in his offensive arsenal against Orton, including his favorite finishing maneuver – Cross Rhodes – but the match came to an end as most of Randy Orton’s matches do – with a thunderous RKO, a three count and the Apex Predator’s hand raised in victory.


Kelly Kelly ambushed by Beth Phoenix and Natalya

On SmackDown, Natalya made it clear that Divas Champion Beth Phoenix and herself were not messing around and gave an ominous warning that Eve had made the biggest mistake of her life. The “Sisters of Salvation” held true to their warning, attacking Kelly Kelly before Vengeance (WATCH), relegating the former Divas Champion unable to accompany her best friend to the ring for one of the biggest matches of Eve’s career.

Randy Orton vs. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes

A long standing rivalry born in a “Legacy” of hate is now all about Vengeance. At this Sunday’s explosive pay-per-view, Randy Orton will lock horns with Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes.

Many things have changed for Rhodes since he stood side-by-side with The Viper as part of The Legacy. The accidental facial injury Rhodes sustained at the hands of Rey Mysterio in January transformed him into a resentful force of brutal aggression. His dark path eventually catapulted the tortured grappler all the way to the Intercontinental Championship. Considering his vow that he will “return the title to its former glory,” a triumph over the Nine-time World Champion and former cohort would be a huge step in the right direction.

Despite Rhodes’ success, however, victory is far from being “in the bag." Time and time again,Randy Orton has proven himself as dangerous as he is accomplished, largely because of the volatile combination of his incredible skill set and innate ability to use his anger issues to his advantage. Together, these two attributes spelled agony for Rhodes on the Sept. 23 edition of SmackDown. After The Viper smashed him with the timekeeper’s bell – an injury that left nine-staples in his Rhodes’ head – Orton treated him to an RKO onto the announce table. (WATCH)

Although the Intercontinental Champion suffered one of the worst assaults of his career, he refused to be overshadowed by the serpentine Superstar. In addition to costing Orton the World Heavyweight Championship on the Oct. 14 edition of SmackDown (WATCH), Rhodes’ greatest blow may have been to The Viper’s ego four days earlier. Following an attack on WWE’s Apex Predator during his match against Mark Henry on the Raw Supershow, Rhodes placed one of his paper bags on his head in the ultimate act of humiliation. (WATCH)

NEW ORLEANS — At WWE Hell in a Cell, the ominous chain link structure after which the pay-per-view is christened became Mark Henry’s “Hell of Pain” – a horrifically modified version of the infamous hall constructed by the World Heavyweight Champion, who overcame a ravenous Randy Orton inside Satan’s Structure. Venomous and title-hungry, The Viper nearly unseated The World’s Strongest Man in a brutal Hell in a Cell Match, demonstrating his experience with the four-sided Devil’s Playground. One of the most dangerous men to ever hold a World Title, Orton unlocked his most ruthless instincts during and, fortunately for him, after the bout, but his 400-pound foe simply could not be stopped.
Enduring a fiery contest of cage wall-contorting combat, Orton and Henry exchanged blows vile enough to rival hell’s resident overlord himself. The defending champion even sustained the challenger’s signature RKO – a move that felled Henry on the final SmackDown before WWE Hell in a Cell, but couldn’t conquer the champion in New Orleans.
It all came down to an errant effort to deliver a skull-rattling punt to the behemoth. WWE’s Apex Predator charged toward Henry, only for him to become susceptible prey and recipient of a World’s Strongest Slam. Pinned and beaten by the same move that cost him the World Heavyweight Title at Night of Champions, The Viper was further mauled by Henry after the bell.
The World’s Strongest Man rigged Orton’s leg within the chair and sought to perhaps cripple Orton in a fashion similar to the injured Big Show, Kane and The Great Khali. The Viper, however, slithered free from the champion’s avalanching girth then viciously swatted at his mammoth enemy with the steel weapon – out of the ring and up the ramp, forcing Henry to flee the arena.
Much like that of Satan himself, the forked tongue of The Viper flicked wildly as he unleashed remnant aggression onto The World’s Strongest Man. For good reason, too. As hellacious the 20-foot-tall steel structure is and as hellishly painful as the conflict within it was, true hell for Randy Orton is actually leaving New Orleans without possession of the World Heavyweight Championship.
Despite the lashing Henry must admit he suffered at the hands of The Apex Predator, The World’s Strongest Man walks forth from his first battle in The Devil’s Playground with even more momentum. Doubters be damned, indeed – and, locker room, be warned: The Hall of Pain is accepting new applicants.

Beth Phoenix def. Kelly Kelly (New Divas champion)

NEW ORLEANS – The third time was the charm for Beth Phoenix at WWE Hell in a Cell. Thanks to some help from her crafty friend, Natalya, The Glamazon finally defeated Kelly Kelly for her first Divas Championship. (PHOTOS)
With Eve cheering her on, Kelly Kelly put up a strong fight against Beth, but once The Glamazon locked her into the same devastating, scream-inducing hold Natalya had her in a few days earlier on SmackDown, Kelly Kelly’s hopes of retaining the title began to crumble. She crawled toward the ropes, forcing Beth’s punishing hold to be broken, but as the WWE official’s back was turned, warning The Glamazon about her in-ring behavior, Natalya sneakily smashed Kelly Kelly with a microphone. WWE’s first third-generation Diva then hit the mat with the mic so the WWE official didn’t see her match-changing actions. This left the Divas Champion powerless, allowing Beth to capitalize and hit her with a vicious Glam Slam for the long-awaited victory.
Kelly Kelly has had the upper hand over Beth for months, defending the butterfly-emblazoned title against her for two consecutive pay-per-views. Beth called these wins by the “Barbie doll” “fluke victories,” and was sure it was only a matter of time before she’d finally become Divas Champion.
With her victory at WWE Hell in a Cell, Beth and Natalya are one step closer to achieving their goal of changing the face of the Divas Division by ridding it of its so-called “Cinderellas,” such as Kelly Kelly. Beth, a former three-time Women’s Champion, begins her reign as Divas Champion with Natalya by her side, ready to lead the charge of a “pin-up strong” division on Raw SuperShow Monday nights at 9/8 CT on USA Network.
