Four days after using the WMD to knockout both Brodus Clay and Tensai on Raw, Big Show came to SmackDown to declare that he was back and that he wanted the World Heavyweight Title. Recalling the embarrassment of his last World Title reign, which lasted 45 seconds, the giant stated that when the Superstar that defeated him, Daniel Bryan, lost that title in 18 seconds at WrestleMania, it was a true turning point in his career. He then stated, in no uncertain terms, that he was the one Superstar on the roster that could beat current World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus.

Big Show was soon interrupted by Randy Orton, the serpentine competitor that he would face in the SmackDown main event to try and become the No. 1 contender to The Great White’s championship gold at WWE Hell in a Cell. The Viper said that if The World’s Largest Athlete thought he would stand in between him and his 10th World Title, he would “not be standing for much longer.”

As the fierce adversaries contemplated whether the main event would see someone get “bit by the RKO or hit with a KO,” Alberto Del Rio emerged, demanding that — because he was “cheated” in his World Title Match at Night of Champions and “better than both Orton and Big Show combined” — both Superstars would be moving to the back of the line. But as The Mexican Aristocrat entered the ring, The Viper wasted no time hitting Del Rio with the RKO.

Before Randy Orton could face Big Show, he was attacked in the back by Alberto Del Rio, the Superstar he hit with the RKO at the start of the show. (WATCH) The Mexican Aristocrat then tried to take his prey’s place in the No. 1 Contender’s Match, only to be stopped by the now-injured Viper. After taking his attacker down, WWE’s Apex Predator insisted on facing the giant anyway, battling for the right to face World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus at WWE Hell in a Cell.

In the ensuing showdown, the courageous Orton attempted time and time again to overcome not only the fierce giant, but also his own injured midsection. The wrath that he had to endure for the majority of the contest was so vicious, that when he finally regrouped and countered the chokeslam to hit the RKO, he couldn’t seem to execute it fully. Possibly for this reason, Show kicked out of the dreaded finishing maneuver! The giant then hit two chokeslams for the huge win, making him the new No. 1 contender to The Great White’s World Title at WWE Hell on a Cell.
After the bell, following an argument with a fan, The World’s Largest Athlete returned to the ring and hit his fallen opponent with the WMD.

Prior to his huge SmackDown tag team match, Alberto Del Rio was informed by SmackDown GM Booker T that — in light of the controversy surrounding the reinstatement of the Brogue Kick, just moments before Sunday’s World Title Match — if he scored a victory, he may get another opportunity at World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus.
In an absolutely chaotic moment in the action that followed, The Mexican Aristocrat attempted to lock The Great White in the Cross Armbreaker, However, the resilient Celtic Warrior had enough presence of mind to counter and push his adversary into The Viper’s waiting RKO. Moments later, Ziggler — the legal Superstar for his team — attempted to use the Money in the Bank briefcase as a weapon, only to meet with the Brogue Kick and ultimately the defeat at the hand of the first Irish-born World Heavyweight Champion.

Randy Orton had one of the harder-won victories of his life against Dolph Ziggler at Night of Champions, but there was no rest for the weary as The Viper clashed with the towering Tensai just 24 hours later. And make no mistake: Tensai did not make it easy for The Viper. The big man made a point to target Orton's lower back, mauling The Viper with vicious power maneuvers and attempting to keep The Apex Predator grounded with a series of punishing elbows and strikes. The contest was every bit as brutal as their match on SmackDown, and ultimately, the result was the same.

Orton's comeback came following a crushing nerve hold from Tensai that brought The Viper to his knees. The Apex Predator then withstood a series of kidney shots before taking Tensai down with a powerslam and hauling him over the ropes for a hanging DDT. Hobbled by Tensai's strikes, The Viper still found it in him to fell Tensai with an RKO, securing his second win in as many nights.

BOSTON — The intense rivalry between Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler hit its breaking point at Night of Champions, as The Viper defeated Mr. Money in the Bank. While Orton vs. Ziggler was the only match in which a title wasn’t up for grabs at the pay-per-view, it thrilled the WWE Universe at the sold-out TD Garden and watching around the world. (PHOTOS)
First, mouthy manager Vickie Guerrero introduced Ziggler and ordered the WWE Universe to “stand up and show your respect for the future World Heavyweight Champion.” Then, Orton entered the ring with a fierce determination.
These bitter rivals quickly locked up, showing just how evenly matched they were. When Orton took the upper hand, Ziggler refused to back down. Orton hit a monstrous powerslam, but The Showoff countered, and soon after hit The Viper with a dropkick off the top rope.
Vickie watched from ringside, clutching Ziggler’s Money in the Bank briefcase, and cheered him on as he dropped elbow after elbow on Orton. Then, in true Ziggler fashion, he showed off in the center of the ring, doing a handstand while punishing his opponent, keeping his head and neck locked up. Mr. Money in the Bank tried to wear down The Apex Predator, but Orton twice got to his feet, proving just how powerful he is.
The rivals’ match turned into a brawl, as the fight moved outside of the ring. Orton hit Ziggler with a DDT off the barricade and then beat the official’s 10-count back into the ring, dragging a dazed Ziggler with him. Orton went for the pin, but the clever Ziggler kept a foot on the ropes. The Viper coiled for the RKO, but Ziggler countered. When it appeared the bleached blond Superstar had the Sleeper Hold locked in en route to victory, Orton lifted his opponent into the air and finally hit him with a devastating RKO for the victory.
With near-fall after near-fall, it was obvious that Orton and Ziggler were evenly matched. The Showoff proved why he’s one of the key up-and-comers in WWE, almost “stealing the show” as his tights read. But the nine-time World Champion used his experience and athleticism to outsmart and outshine the resident showoff at Night of Champions.

Just two days before he will face Mr. Money in the Bank, Dolph Ziggler, at Night of Champions, Randy Orton asked to battle Tensai one-on-one for the first-time ever.
While Tensai truly threw his weight around, using every part of himself to overpower WWE’s Apex Predator to give him a brutal beatdown, The Viper would roar back. After knocking Sakamoto from the apron and withstanding a last ditch assault that nearly put him away, Orton overcame Tensai with the RKO.
As the smoke cleared, Vickie Guerrero emerged, speaking for Dolph Ziggler while, at the same time, claiming that he had taken the night off. Orton refuted The Queen Divas’ claims that he would be beat by Ziggler this Sunday and that he would never be the World Champion again, before anticipating The Showoff’s sneak attack and thwarting his efforts.
