CLEVELAND — Two days before their World Title rematch at Survivor Series, The Celtic Warrior charged World Heavyweight Champion Big Show, pushing their bitter rivalry once again beyond the ring and into a state of all-out destruction. Meanwhile, SmackDown General Manager Booker T and Mick Foley placed the members of Sunday’s Traditional Elimination Tag Team Match into a series of bouts that quickly descended into a struggle for pay-per-view momentum.

In addition to basking in the glory of bringing his controversial talk show, “Miz TV,” to his hometown Cleveland, The Miz also celebrated the fact that Monday’s RAWactive poll chose him to fill the vacant spot on Team Foley in the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match Sunday. After pledging he would not follow any team captain, however, the outspoken Superstar welcomed Mick Foley in the ring — the iconic Superstar fitting that very job description. (MATCH PREVIEW)

After The Hardcore Legend took the opportunity to plug his new book, “A Most Mizerable Christmas,” he posed the question: Which Miz was going to show up to Survivor Series? Would it be The Miz who accomplished so many milestones in his WWE career or would it be the somewhat laid-back, more talk/less action Miz?

When the “Miz TV” host pointed out that Mick should worry about the dysfunction of the other members of the Survivor Series group rather than him, Foley welcomed all of Team Foley into the ring.

When he “opened the lines of communication,” Team Hell No used the opportunity to further argue with each other. Then, when things almost turned volatile between archrivals Kofi Kingston and Miz, Foley called on Randy Orton to be the “voice of reason.” But the nine-time World Champion said that despite their volatile history, he liked Foley more than anyone of the team — a group he didn’t “like or trust at all.”

In the second match of the night between Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match participants, Randy Orton reluctantly joined forces with The Miz against The Mexican Aristocrat & Mr. Money in the Bank.

In the final moments, just when WWE’s Apex Predator looked poised to execute the RKO on Del Rio, his “Awesome” partner suddenly tagged himself into the action, hitting the Skull-Crushing Finale on a staggered Mexican Aristocrat to steal the three-count.

Furious over being cheated out of a win over his adversary Del Rio and taking all he could of Miz in the post-match celebration, the irate Viper lashed out, hitting an RKO on his own Survivor Series teammate.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — On a night of jubilation and anticipation, Raw instead kicked off on a venomous note when Randy Orton slithered to the ring in the show's opening minutes for a match against Dolph Ziggler. The Showoff stormed into Raw looking to make an impact before he leads a squad against The Viper and the rest of Team Foley at the fall classic. Seizing his opportunity, Mr. Money in the Bank took it to The Apex Predator early and often in his statement match against the nine-time World Champion, though the outcome was not, perhaps, what he had expected.

Ziggler, who took Orton to the limit at Night of Champions, gave Orton no quarter and showed no mercy in what was an uncommonly brutal showing from The Showoff. A last-minute distraction, though, spelled doom for the flashy Superstar when Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez ran to the ring and attempted to distract The Apex Predator. Though Ziggler nearly achieved victory thanks to the interference from his Survivor Series lieutenants, Orton's veteran instinct took over and The Viper rolled Mr. Money in the Bank for a quick pin.

Business was not yet concluded for Del Rio, however. The Essence of Excellence stormed the ring and, alongside Ziggler, administered a stomping on Orton that continued unchecked until Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston sprinted to the ring to help his Team Foley comrade. The fracas then brought out Teddy Long, who, looking spiffy in his red suit, restored order to the chaos in his own, time-honored manner on behalf of Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero: The contest would be restarted as a (you guessed it) tag team match.

Was this a harbinger of things to come at Survivor Series? The Teddy Long–mandated tag team match between Team Foley members Randy Orton & Kofi Kingston and Team Ziggler members Alberto Del Rio & Ziggler himself was a fast, furious affair that culminated in an ominous win for the wily warriors of The Showoff's squadron.

Ziggler & Del Rio stuck to a simple game plan of double-teaming the dynamic Kingston while keeping Orton safely tucked away in his own corner, but calamity seemed certain after Orton maneuvered his way back into the match and unleashed a flurry of attacks to a seemingly stunned Del Rio. With The Mexican Aristocrat dazed, Kingston made his way back into the match, but The Dreadlocked Dynamo was himself ill-prepared for Del Rio's resilience. The two-time WWE Champion cleaned Kofi's clock with an enzuigiri kick that put the Intercontinental Champion down for the count of three.

Last Friday, after Alberto Del Rio’s distraction caused Randy Orton to lose his match against Wade Barrett, The Viper engaged The Mexican Aristocrat in a fierce backstage brawl. (WATCH) Then on Raw, Orton returned the favor, using his entrance music to throw Del Rio off his game long enough for Kofi Kingston to defeat him — before he dished out an RKO.

Now on SuperSmackDown LIVE, in a contest that not only encourages anarchy but also insists upon it, Randy Orton would battle Alberto Del Rio in Falls Count Anywhere Match. It was a setting where absolutely everything could be legally used as a weapon to end the fight anyplace.

The brutal showdown that ensued would stretch outside the ring, into the U.K. crowd and all over the arena — incorporating everything from chairs, garbage cans, equipment trunks, the SmackDown announce table, the ramp, a table, the unforgiving steel ring post and everything else in sight.

Prior to the start of Randy Orton’s match with Wade Barrett, Alberto Del Rio — who appeared ready to join the SmackDown announce team for the pending showdown — suddenly attacked The Viper with the help of Ricardo Rodriguez, leaving his adversary on the ringside floor.

Despite this assault, the match between Orton and Barrett would carry on as scheduled, igniting a brutal firestorm of a contest. But just as The Viper looked to have gained a decisive advantage over his opponent, Del Rio and Rodriguez reemerged, bringing yet another distraction to the table. As Orton proceeded to headbutt The Mexican Aristocrat’s personal ring announcer off the apron — Barrett seized the opportunity, rolling up WWE’s Apex Predator up for the three-count.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Halloween night was full of tricks, treats and plenty of WWE action as Randy Orton joined forces with Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara against Alberto Del Rio & The Prime Time Players in a fast-paced Six-Man Tag Team Match. In addition to The Viper teaming with the masked Mexicans, Wade Barrett battled agile Hart Dungeon alum Tyson Kidd.
Before the action got underway, Michael Cole and JBL updated the WWE Universe on the Brad Maddox situation. They revealed that Maddox has been suspended indefinitely and was summoned to WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Conn., to be questioned by a Board of Inquiry Thursday. (FULL STORY)

Last week on WWE Main Event, Alberto Del Rio defeated Sin Cara and following their encounter, The Prime Time Players joined forces with The Mexican Aristocrat and brazenly attacked the masked marvel. Randy Orton raced to Sin Cara’s aid and challenged Del Rio & The Prime Time Player to a Six-Man Tag Team Match when The Master of the 619 would be in attendance.
At Hell in a Cell, Del Rio was defeated by The Viper in singles competition, leaving the Six-Man Tag Team Match in Fayetteville as his dream for retribution. The Mexican Aristocrat hoped his newfound alliance with The Prime Time Players was enough to suppress the alliance forged between three of his most bitter rivals.
Though The Prime Time Players wanted to seize the opportunity to prove they are major competitors in WWE, the experience of The Viper and Rey Mysterio mixed with the high-flying abilities of Sin Cara highlighted the greater struggle of the contest. Maintaining an advantage over the opposing team was the only objective in this bout and though Alberto Del Rio is a former two-time WWE Champion, his partners were far less seasoned than Orton and Mysterio. Nonetheless, all six Superstars battled to capture momentum, and fortunately for The Viper’s team, The WWE Universe remained firmly in their corner throughout the melee.
The fluidity of both trios was clearly on display as each competitor played to their own strengths to maintain balance during the bout and also try to secure the upper hand. Del Rio’s history with each Superstar on the opposing team added a personal layer to the contest that certainly played out as he faced off with each of his rivals.
During the latter half of the contest, Del Rio and The Prime Time Players primarily focused their efforts on The Master of the 619. The Ultimate Underdog endured a great deal of punishment, but he continued to fight, highlighting his incomparable resiliency. Chaos soon ensured with all six competitors inside the ring. Mysterio and Sin Cara managed to remove The Prime Time Players from the equation, setting up Del Rio for one of the most amazing sequence of maneuvers ever.
With a fast and picture-perfect hurricanrana, Sin Cara set The Mexican Aristocrat plummeting into the middle rope. Rey Mysterio charged forward and expertly executed the 619. A dazed Del Rio stumbled to his feet only to be met with a devastating RKO that ultimately secured victory for The Viper, Mysterio and Sin Cara.
