12/29/10 WWE Smackdown house show results in Cleveland, Ohio

Kelly Kelly was then introduced as the host for the evening. She held a contest to find an honorary bell-ringer for the next match. She asked the same question they always ask, "What is the next Pay-Per-View?" The child correctly answered the Royal Rumble.

(2) Divas champion Natalya Neidhart & Beth Phoenix defeated Layla & Naomi. This match was announced as a "Santa's Little Helper" tag match. However, that was just a clever name because none of the divas were dressed festively nor were there any special holiday rules. This was a decent match that was given close to ten minutes. It was your typical house show tag match. However, the crowd was involved throughout. The finish saw Kelly Kelly get involved long enough for Beth to deliver a Glam Slam for the victory.

Kelly Kelly came back out and displayed some of the merchandise that was available and did a t-shirt toss. This led to intermission.

Randy Orton def. Sheamus (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The King has been toppled – again. To end an extraordinary year, Randy Orton clashed with a familiar rival, Sheamus. Despite his recent triumph at the 2010 King of the Ring tournament, The Celtic Warrior proved unable to master The Viper. In a year filled with impressive conquests, Orton leveled his Irish foe once again to polish off the dessert that was 2010.

What Happened After RAW (December 27,2010)

After RAW went off the air here in Albany last night, Randy Orton and John Cena beat The Miz and Sheamus in tag team action with Michael Cole as the special guest referee. The win came when Cena made Sheamus tap out to the STF and Orton hit an RKO on Miz. Orton and Cena posed together to send everyone home happy.

WWE Superstars results [December 23,2010]

Beth Phoenix & Kelly Kelly def. Lay-Cool (WATCH |PHOTOS)It’s been a bad week to be Lay-Cool. After being smashed through a table by Natalya at WWE TLC, the egocentric Divas were still picking the splinters out of each others backsides when they had to step in the ring to take on Beth Phoenix & Kelly Kelly tonight. But despite feeling the effects of Sunday’s beating, Michelle McCool & Layla still brought the fight to their opponents, targeting Kelly with every vicious maneuver in their diamond-studded playbook. The flawless friends’ dominance came to an end, however, once The Glamazon was tagged in. Knocking Michelle to the outside, Beth nailed Layla with a thundering Glam Slam to pick up her second win over Lay-Cool this week.

RAW Recall for December 20,2010

TAKE THAT: RKO, HOLY NIGHT!

Kicking off Raw, The Miz haunted the WWE Universe with his "Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future," to brag about retaining the WWE Title the night before. During the main event, however, Randy Orton silenced his night with a "holy %@*" of an RKO.  (WATCH | PHOTOS)

Natalya, Kelly Kelly & The Bella Twins def. Michelle McCool, Layla, Alicia Fox & Melina (WATCH | PHOTOS)Christmas came early to the troops at Fort Hood this year as eight of WWE’s sexiest, smartest & most powerful Divas battled in a special Santa’s Helpers Tag Team Match. Dressed in their holiday best, Divas Champion Natalya, Kelly Kelly & The Bellas looked very nice while decking the halls of the naughty group of Team Lay-Cool, Alicia Fox & Melina. And after some very festive, frenzied action, it was the abominable Michelle who had her two front teeth knocked out by Kelly, leading to the pin. By the smile on her face, it was clear that Kelly got what she wanted for Christmas.

John Cena, Rey Mysterio & Randy Orton def. WWE Champion The Miz, Alberto Del Rio & Wade Barrett (WATCH | PHOTOS)John Cena has always had a special bond with the troops, so the Legendary star was even more charged than usual going into tonight’s huge main event. Forming a veritable dream team with Rey Mysterio & Randy Orton, Cena made sure that the crew of The Miz, Alberto Del Rio & Wade Barrett received a beating that would make the military proud. Working together like a tactical squad, The Viper and Cena set up Del Rio and Barrett for a double dose of Mysterio’s 619 before simultaneously nailing an RKO and an Attitude Adjustment on their hapless opponents for the win.
Following the victory, the Massachusetts native grabbed the microphone and delivered some heartfelt words to the soldiers he respects so much, bringing an emotional end to the most patriotic show of the year.

Randy Orton def. WWE Champion The Miz by Disqualification (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Just like he did at WWE TLC, Alex Riley inserted himself into the action (WWE TLC photos). However on this night, Riley’s interference cost WWE Champion The Miz his match with The Viper. After the bout, with Miz still reeling from an RKO, The Viper was poised to punt his foe. When Riley tried to come to his aid, he too was met with a crushing RKO from WWE’s Apex Predator.

WWE RAW results [December 20,2010]

Raw General Manager announced main event(WATCH)
It was enough to sap the Christmas spirit right out of the arena. After retaining the WWE Title at WWE TLC the night before, The Miz entered the ring bearing the gift of gab. As he bragged about his controversial victory over Randy Orton, his acolytes, Alex Riley and Michael Cole, joined him, representing the Ghosts of Christmas Past and Present, respectively. His heart two sizes too small, Miz ripped The Viper and then trained his verbal fire onto John Morrison, who defeated Sheamus at WWE TLC to claim No. 1 contender status.
Having heard enough, The Shaman of Sexy confronted his former tag team partner. The situation became so heated, in fact, that Miz and Riley attacked Morrison, prompting Jerry “The King” Lawler to come to his aid. The fracas erupted further when the 2010 King of the Ring sprinted down to join the attack on Morrison.
As the WWE Champion exited up the entrance ramp, the anonymous Raw General Manager interrupted, arranging the night’s main event, a Six-Man Tag Team Match pitting Miz, Riley & Sheamus against Morrison, Lawler & Orton, who then surprised the WWE Champion with a clothesline on the entrance ramp.

Randy OrtonJohn Morrison & Jerry Lawler def. WWE Champion The Miz, Alex Riley & Sheamus (WATCH |PHOTOS)
The ghosts of The Miz’s past, present and future came back to haunt him inside the ring. Teaming up with Alex Riley & Sheamus, the WWE Champion faced Randy Orton, John Morrison & Jerry “The King” Lawler in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. During the bout, The Viper decisively damaged Miz with a surprising RKO, which allowed Lawler to roll him up for the pin.
Afterward, the Raw GM arranged a second Raw match to take place at Tuesday night’s live SmackDown event: WWE Champion The Miz will clash with The Viper, Randy Orton. In the wake of the announcement, “The Cleveland Screamer” and Orton continued to brawl until Miz ran up the entrance ramp.

WWE TLC 2010 results [December 19,2010]

HOUSTON – Just weeks after cashing in his Money in the Bank opportunity on an injured and battle-weary Randy Orton to capture the WWE Championship, The Miz defanged The Viper once more at WWE TLC in a barbaric and doubly controversial Tables Match to retain the most coveted prize in sports-entertainment. The Era of Awesome, it seems, is far from over. (PHOTOS)
Though Orton seemed primed to humble The Awesome One with a trip through a table at WWE TLC – capturing his seventh WWE Title in the process – The Miz combated The Viper’s venom with a healthy dose of deception during this no disqualification contest. While the referee was incapacitated following a nasty tumble out of the ring, Orton powerbombed The Miz’s intervening apprentice, Alex Riley, through a table. But The Miz immediately retaliated by hitting WWE’s Apex Predator with a Skull-Crushing Finale.
The WWE Champion then positioned Orton atop the debris, enabling him to convince the still-reeling referee that Orton had already lost the match. Unfortunately for the crafty titleholder, the post-match instant replay exposed The Miz’s ruse to the official, who ordered the match to restart.
Driven by frustration following The Miz’s near-victory, Orton seemed unstoppable once the action resumed, but it was the WWE Champion’s apprentice that would again determine the bout’s outcome. While Orton stood on the apron, The Miz pushed Riley into his opponent – a split-second maneuver that sent The Viper crashing through a table set up at ringside. This time, the WWE Champion sealed an official win when the referee witnessed him putting Orton through the pine. Twice in a single evening, The Miz had stolen victories from The Viper’s grasp.
Battered and bruised after overcoming a Nexus assault to successfully defend his WWE Title against Wade Barrett on the Nov. 22 edition of Raw, Orton found himself in a rare state of shock when The Miz’s entrance music suddenly began resonating throughout Orlando’s Amway Center. After months of threatening to redeem his guaranteed WWE Title opportunity against the reigning titleholder at his most vulnerable point, The Miz finally seized his moment to become the eighth Money in the Bank winner to successfully cash in their contract and win a World Title.
WWE’s Apex Predator isn’t known for taking defeat lying down, refusing to allow the new WWE Champion to rest on his laurels in the weeks leading up to their anticipated rematch at WWE TLC. Twice preventing “The Cleveland Screamer” from putting him through a table on two consecutive Raws, Orton instead made The Miz’s apprentice and Miz-sympathetic actor (and former WCW Champion) David Arquette taste timber. The WWE Universe likely expected The Viper to do the same to the WWE Champion on the most dangerous night in sports-entertainment, but just as he has done so many times in the past, The Miz ably bent the rules to leave Houston’s Toyota Center still a champion.
Now that The Miz has again vanquished The Viper, will the most “must-see” WWE Champion in history be able to similarly fend off the new No. 1 contender to his title, his former tag team partner, John Morrison? To find out, catch al the Raw action every Monday night at 9/8 CT on USA.

WWE TLC 2010 predictions

Now I am going to predict the outcomes of the matches set on WWE TLC this Sunday!

WWE Champion The Miz vs. Randy Orton (Tables Match)
I think that Miz is going to retain the title. As much as I wanted Randy to regain it,but you know the WWE.I have so much respect for him as a wrestler and as a person and it seems like WWE's going to give him a decent title run.

World Heavyweight Champion Kane vs. Edge vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio (Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match)
It seems like Edge is going to win this match, since he's the one feuding with Kane for the title.

John Cena vs. Wade Barrett (Chairs Match)
It's great to see John Cena back which means one thing and it's payback time.

Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger (Triple Threat Ladder Match)
Maybe Jack Swagger becomes the new champion.

John Morrison vs. Sheamus (Ladder Match)
They have been feuding for weeks, and it's time for them to settle it all at TLC.Looks like John Morrison's going to dominate this match.

Divas Champion Natalya and Beth Phoenix vs. Team Lay-Cool (Divas Tag Team Tables Match)
Hopefully that the WWE knows how to book the Divas the way they do to the Superstars.Natalya and Beth's going to make a great team and win this match on Sunday.

So what are your predictions?Sound it off in the chatbox.

WWE's Kelly Kelly Spans Globe to Entertain Troops

kk_321

Kelly Kelly’s profile is growing quickly in the wrestling fan community, but as she has discovered in the four years since she began wrestling at the age of 19, her popularity is now global.

Kelly has been overseas four times – three times to Iraq and once (just last week) to Afghanistan – and has experienced first-hand how effective the WWE’s efforts to entertain the men and women serving abroad in the military have been.

Her first trip was to Iraq while the country was still being stabilized so the experience left quite an impression on her.

“Being 19 when I started and seeing the troops in Iraq that are the same age as me and they’re doing this on a daily basis, it’s just crazy to think about it,” said Kelly, who will be part of the WWE's eighth annual Tribute to the Troops at Fort Hood, Texas. The program will be televised on Saturday, Dec. 18 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC. “And I never thought that I’d have the opportunity to do this. It’s just been great. [The troops] found out [the wrestlers were visiting] a day or two before we got there and there were 2,000 troops there waiting when we arrived. They were freaking out. They just wanted to take pictures and talk about everything. And to hear their side of things, it was great.”

And to say that the stars of the WWE are well known and well liked at the bases would be an understatement that might be worthy of a smackdown.

“The funny thing is, they don’t get many [TV] shows over there, but they get wrestling and they recognize us over there,” Kelly said. “It makes you want to cry. It’s so great to get that reaction. I know everybody that gets to go appreciates it so much. They beg [WWE President] Vince [McMahon] to go. [The troops] just want to keep talking about everything and it’s great to give them a piece of home. And this time of year is the hardest.”

Accompanied by Big Show and Eve, Kelly’s most recent trip spanned five days in Afghanistan and included lots of pictures and autographs and some hairy moments.

“At one point we almost got hit with a rocket!” Kelly said. “But we were safe and the troops were so awesome. We were in a bunker when we heard an announcement of ‘Stay in your bunker’ so we kind of freaked out but they said to relax and we just heard a boom and that was about it. We were just fine.”

And forget any notion of “celebrity treatment.”

“We don’t stay in a hotel, we go and stay in cement houses and on steel beds and walk to the bathrooms with flashlights and we go what they go through to show them how much we appreciate them.”

Now, it’s the troops turn to show their appreciation for the wrestlers as they fill Sadowski Field at Fort Hood.

“It’s the first year we’ve stayed in the states [for WWE Tribute to the Troops] and the base is just huge. They’re expecting around 100,000 people to come. I can’t wait to perform for them. It’ll be like another WrestleMania. I said ‘How’re we going to fit everyone?’They said ‘We’ll squeeze ‘em in’ so it’ll be loud, for sure.”

Also appearing on the program will be comedian Cedric the Entertainer; recording artists Trace Adkins, P. Diddy’s Diddy Dirty Money and Ariel Winter and Miss USA Rima Fakih. -- By Christian Pelusi

What ifs for December 18,2010

What if Kelly Kelly,Kaitlyn and Drew McIntyre end up having a storyline together?
You know WWE sometimes they are just booking a backstage segment for the sake of the air time. For me I am not sure how will this turn out since Kelly and Drew already have their significant others off-screen.I still wonder how will Big Show react to this though.

What if Randy Orton regains the title this Sunday at WWE TLC?
It's good if that happens but then it seems like WWE will let The Miz have a decent title run. It's just okay.

Late post:

Kelly Kelly was the Daily Diva for December 12,2010 with a shot from her Striped photoshoot.

PWInsider article about Kelly Kelly and Eve

PWInsider.com has answered some questions from readers and one of them is about Kelly Kelly.

How would you rate the progress so far of WWE Divas Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres? Do you see either women becoming Divas champion someday?

I thought Kelly Kelly was really making a lot of strides with her in-ring work earlier in the year, but then her push stopped, and she seems to have plateaued in her development. Eve Torres has athletic skill, but her mic skills seem to have killed her push. Of the two, I see Kelly Kelly getting back on track and becoming Divas Champion, although neither are at the level of a Natalya or Beth Phoenix right now.

CM Punk won the Despicable Me Slammy Award; U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston def. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler & Ted DiBiase (WATCH: PART 1 | PART 2 | PHOTOS)
Kelly Kelly and Tyson Kidd were on hand to introduce the winner of the Despicable Me Slammy Award for the most treacherous act of 2010. Before revealing the winner, though, Kidd took a moment to introduce his mountainous bodyguard, Jackson Andrews. He then announced the recipient as CM Punk, for his harassment of Rey Mysterio’s family. Well deserved, if not incredibly vile.

“Angry Miz Girl” received Slammy Award for WWE Universe Fan Reaction of the Year; WWE Champion The Miz def. Rey Mysterio; Randy Orton vs. David Arquette & Alex Riley in a Handicap Match set(WATCH: PART 1 | PART 2 | PHOTOS)
Looking a great deal happier than during her signature moment, “Angry Miz Girl,” whose real name is Cayley, accepted the Slammy Award for WWE Universe Fan Reaction of the Year. Afterward, WWE Champion The Miz swept in a snagged her statuette. Sigh.
The “Cleveland Screamer,” flanked by his assistant Alex Riley and Hollywood star David Arquette, talked smack about Randy Orton, who he will face in a Tables Match at the WWE TLC pay-per-view. Before Miz could retreat to the locker room area, Raw’s anonymous GM announced that The Awesome One must face former world champion Rey Mysterio.
The WWE Champion managed to fend off The Master of the 619 when Alberto Del Rio distracted him. But as Miz and his minions celebrated, the Raw GM arranged a second match. In this one, Riley & Arquette would team up against Orton in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match.

Randy Orton def. David Arquette and Alex Riley in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Despite the odds, Randy Orton would not be denied. The Viper clashed with David Arquette & Alex Riley in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. Although Orton has certainly proven himself, Arquette’s extensive résumé also includes a stint as former WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Despite that, Orton demolished his hapless foes.
As WWE Champion The Miz observed his WWE TLC opponent from ringside, Orton pinned his assistant for the win. Afterward, Miz attacked Orton and set up a table in the center of the ring. Before he could splinter the pine, however, The Viper recovered and sent Arquette straight through.
