World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton def. Ted DiBiase (WATCH | PHOTOS)
As Cody Rhodes accompanied Ted DiBiase to the ring for his match with former Legacy cohort World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton, the bitter Superstar professed the “miracles,” he claimed he had preformed. These included the resurrection of the Intercontinental Title and the very career of DiBiase himself. But, despite his “words of wisdom” and a hard-fought effort by DiBaise, The Viper would ultimately strike last, avoiding Dream Street to hit his prey with the RKO.

After the bell – embarrassed by the loss – Ted’s own “life coach” blasted his friend with the Cross Rhodes. He then dished out additional humiliation, placing another bag on his head.

WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly def. Tamina (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Utilizing a slew of maneuvers that the “Divas of Doom” Beth Phoenix and Natalya have been speaking out against for weeks – including the stink face and a playful slap on the backside –Kelly Kelly finished off Tamina with the K-2 legdrop. Before the match, Natalya had made it clear to the WWE Universe that she “doesn’t play with dolls.” So, in spite of her triumph, is it only a matter of time before the D.O.D. shakes up the “cutesy” Divas Champion?

Eve def. Nikki Bella (WATCH | PHOTOS)
After having to listen to some rather scathing commentary from the “Divas of Doom,” Natalya & Beth Phoenix, Eve must have channeled her anger and energy directly into the ring. And her opponent, Nikki Bella, experienced the painful effects. With Divas Champion Kelly Kelly cheering her on, the lovely Latina put the hurt on the Bella twin despite her sister Brie’s attempt to interfere.

Mark Henry won a 20-Man No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal (WATCH |PHOTOS)
Twenty SmackDown Superstars competed in an epic Battle Royal, fighting for the right to become the No. 1 contender to Randy Orton’s World Heavyweight Title. And the mayhem that ensued only served to increase the rage of one Mark Henry. While still officially part of the match in the ring, The World’s Strongest Man extended his furious aggression to the ringside area, hurling eliminated competitors down onto the steel steps, into the ringside barricade and over the announce table.
With evidence of his carnage everywhere, Henry joined Sheamus, Barrett and Sin Cara as the last four Superstars in the match. The infuriated grappler would ultimately reign supreme, sending Sin Cara over the top rope, seconds after treating the masked Superstar to the World’s Strongest Slam. And as the smoke cleared, the new No. 1 contender stood nose-to-nose with the World Heavyweight Champion.

Divas Champion Kelly Kelly & A.J. def. Natalya & Alicia Fox (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Although Natalya continued to demonstrate her in-ring dominance in tag team action, her partner Alicia Fox could not rise to the occasion. When A-Fox missed the scissors kick, Kelly Kelly turned the tables, blasting her with the K-2 legdrop for the victory.
Following the match, an argument ensued between Alicia and Natalya over the loss. When the former turned away, one-half of the “Divas of Doom” knocked her from the ring, locking her in the excruciating Sharpshooter.

Divas Champion Kelly Kelly & Eve def. The Bella Twins (WATCH | PHOTOS)
They might not be as physically intimidating as the Beth Phoenix & Natalya, but Divas Champion Kelly Kelly & Eve showed the self-proclaimed “Divas of Doom” that “cute, perky” competitors are never to be underestimated.
One night after successfully defending her butterfly-emblazoned championship against the mighty Glamazon, Kelly Kelly teamed with the gorgeous Eve to take on the devious Bella Twins. In spite of Nikki & Brie’s ruthless tactics, Eve sealed a victory with an impressive moonsault off the top rope.
Natalya & Beth came out to the stage after the bout to offer their congratulations ... and what appeared to be an unspoken threat.

WWE Summerslam 2011 results [August 14,2011]

Divas Champion Kelly Kelly def. Beth Phoenix

If you were following all of the SummerSlam predictions on Twitter, the @WWEUniverse had already crowned Beth Phoenix the new Divas Champion. After all, just looking at the muscular physique and technical skills of The Glamazon would stop anyone in their tracks – especially as, according to Beth Phoenix, Divas Champion Kelly Kelly is a “perky blonde bimbo.” “She’s unstoppable,” one tweet said. “Kelly Kelly has no chance against the power of The Glamazon,” said another. “Kelly Kelly is going to get destroyed.”
But a select few tweeted passionately in favor of Kelly Kelly, simply stating “Bigger doesn’t always mean better.”  And on this night, the blonde bombshell proved the naysayers wrong, retaining the butterfly-emblazoned title at The Biggest Event of the Summer, in the most impressive victory of the young Diva’s career. (PHOTOS)
The Divas Champion started the match off strong, countering and fighting off Beth Phoenix's attacks. Using sheer determination, Kelly Kelly wasted no time in showing The Glamazon who was the champion. And after Beth tried countless times to overpower her, Kelly Kelly had one last trick up her sleeve. As The Glamazon lifted the ever-defiant Kelly Kelly up on her shoulders, prepping the champion for the devastating Glam Slam, the Beth-described "bimbo" outsmarted Phoenix, countering the finishing move with an impressive roll up for the victory.
Kelly Kelly has been up against the seemingly impossible before. For five long years as she worked every live event, harnessing and improving her in-ring skills, she wasn’t sure if she’d ever have her chance to shine with the Divas Championship. On Raw: Power to the People, she finally achieved her dream, and no matter how much more muscular and intimidating Beth Phoenix may be, Kelly Kelly was never willing back down from the fight. On Twitter, Kelly Kelly offered some final words before preparing for her match: “Tonight I stand up for all the women who were doubted but fought their a** off to get where they are today ... model turned divas champ!”
Two weeks ago on Raw, Beth Phoenix jumpstarted a movement. Her quest, she said, was to go through the Divas making a mockery of the Divas division one-by-one, starting with current champion Kelly. “Your days as the cute, perky blonde bimbo are over,” The Glamazon said after she had laid waste to the fan-favorite, taking her new-found attitude to Twitter, asking the WWE Universe to support the pin-up strong movement. The first person to offer support? Her “Diva of Doom” cohort Natalya, who turned on her own protégé, A.J. on SmackDown just days later, joining the movement to “take back the Divas Division.” And ask she reflected on Twitter before her match, “Tonight, fighting for the Divas Championship and what I feel is right, is the investment of this one woman's lifetime.”
What is next for Divas Champion Kelly Kelly and all of the Divas in the WWE locker room? Does “the pin up strong movement” stop here, or will Phoenix – and her “sister of doom” Natalya be even more hungry to take back a division that they believe in?

Randy Orton def. Christian in a No Holds Barred Match (New World Heavyweight Champion)

LOS ANGELES – The WWE Universe was stunned to see Edge walk into the sold-out STAPLES Center to be in Christian’s corner for his World Heavyweight Championship match against Randy Orton.(PHOTOS)
But after the 11-time World Champion received a standing ovation from the more than 17,000 in attendance, the bigger surprise was when Edge berated his lifelong friend for how he won the World Title – through whining for rematches, hiding behind lawyers and eventually capturing the title by disqualification. Although proclaiming to be Christian’s friend until the day he dies, he walked out him, forcing him to fend for himself.
What ensued was a brutal No Holds Barred Match involving kendo sticks, steel ring steps, steel chairs, TV monitors, tables and metal garbage cans. After both Superstars inflicted pain and suffering on each other with all of the weapons at their disposal, it was a blistering RKO from Orton to Christian directly onto a set steel ring steps that ended the battle.
The victory was the culmination of an emotional war that has gone on for months between the two.
At Extreme Rules 2011, Christian captured the first World Championship in his 17-year career (PHOTOS), but then lost it to Randy Orton just five days later. After that heart-breaking night, he mounted a relentless quest to regain the title. At WWE Capitol Punishment (PHOTOS) and Over the Limit (PHOTOS), Christian failed to dethrone Orton.  It wasn’t until  Money in the Bank that finally wrested the title from The Viper (PHOTOS).
How will Christian handle losing the title he so coveted? Who will be next to challenge WWE’s Apex Predator? Find out on Friday’s SmackDown at 8/7 CT on Syfy.
