Randy Orton def. United States Champion Dolph Ziggler (WATCH | PHOTOS)
While Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes sat in with the announce team, his adversary Randy Orton had his hands full in a hard-fought match-up with Dolph Ziggler – with Jack Swagger banned from ringside. This included an earth-shattering superkick by the bleach blond Superstar that nearly earned him the pinfall. But, in the end, The Viper found a way to strike the final blow, hitting the United States Champion with the RKO.

Randy Orton & Sheamus def. Christian & Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In a follow-up to the events of Vengeance, (FULL RESULTS) The Viper and The Celtic Warrior teamed up to claim a tag victory over the rivals they defeated in singles action on pay-per-view — the cunning Christian and the demented Cody Rhodes. It was a surprising bit of teamwork from two brawlers who usually go it alone, but nothing brings a pair of Superstars together quite like shared animosity.

WWE Vengeance results [October 23,2011]

Randy Orton def. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes

SAN ANTONIO – Randy Orton may have defeated Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes at Vengeance, but it seems that The Viper has more venom to inject into Rhodes. (PHOTOS)

While many things have changed for Rhodes since he faced his one-time mentor Randy Orton at Wrestlemania XXVI, one thing hasn’t, Cody Rhodes still hasn’t been able to knock Orton off the pinnacle of WWE’s food chain as its Apex Predator.

Heading into Vengeance, Randy Orton split open Rhodes’ scalp using the ring bell and Rhodes responded by embarrassing Orton by knocking him cold and putting a paper bag on his head. However, it seems Rhodes strategy of trying to get inside the infamously unstable psyche of Orton only made The Viper more venomous.

Rhodes unloaded everything in his offensive arsenal against Orton, including his favorite finishing maneuver – Cross Rhodes – but the match came to an end as most of Randy Orton’s matches do – with a thunderous RKO, a three count and the Apex Predator’s hand raised in victory.

Kelly Kelly ambushed by Beth Phoenix and Natalya
On SmackDown, Natalya made it clear that Divas Champion Beth Phoenix and herself were not messing around and gave an ominous warning that Eve had made the biggest mistake of her life. The “Sisters of Salvation” held true to their warning, attacking Kelly Kelly before Vengeance (WATCH), relegating the former Divas Champion unable to accompany her best friend to the ring for one of the biggest matches of Eve’s career.

Randy Orton RKO’d two of Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes’ Baggers (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In recent weeks, Cody Rhodes humiliated Randy Orton by placing a paper bag on his head (WATCH) and cost The Viper the World Heavyweight Title (WATCH). This week, Rhodes explained that his harsh feelings toward his Vengeance opponent went far beyond the vicious attack he suffered on the Sept. 23 edition of SmackDown (WATCH). He said that his actions as of late had allowed a demon to be exorcised, one born of contamination from “The Viper’s venom” back when they stood side-by-side in The Legacy.
When called out by the resentful champion, Orton informed him that his attack with the timekeeper’s bell several weeks ago will be nothing compared to the anguish he will unleash on Rhodes this Sunday. But, when WWE’s Apex Predator tried to give him a painful preview, he was suddenly thwarted by Rhodes’ advancing baggers. Though the Intercontinental Champion would live to fight another day, The Viper stomped one of his assistants into the steel ring steps, before delivering the RKO to the other.

WWE Vengeance 2011 preview

Randy Orton vs. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes

A long standing rivalry born in a “Legacy” of hate is now all about Vengeance. At this Sunday’s explosive pay-per-view, Randy Orton will lock horns with Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes.

Many things have changed for Rhodes since he stood side-by-side with The Viper as part of The Legacy. The accidental facial injury Rhodes sustained at the hands of Rey Mysterio in January transformed him into a resentful force of brutal aggression. His dark path eventually catapulted the tortured grappler all the way to the Intercontinental Championship. Considering his vow that he will “return the title to its former glory,” a triumph over the Nine-time World Champion and former cohort would be a huge step in the right direction.

Despite Rhodes’ success, however, victory is far from being “in the bag." Time and time again,Randy Orton has proven himself as dangerous as he is accomplished, largely because of the volatile combination of his incredible skill set and innate ability to use his anger issues to his advantage. Together, these two attributes spelled agony for Rhodes on the Sept. 23 edition of SmackDown. After The Viper smashed him with the timekeeper’s bell – an injury that left nine-staples in his Rhodes’ head – Orton treated him to an RKO onto the announce table. (WATCH)

Although the Intercontinental Champion suffered one of the worst assaults of his career, he refused to be overshadowed by the serpentine Superstar. In addition to costing Orton the World Heavyweight Championship on the Oct. 14 edition of SmackDown (WATCH), Rhodes’ greatest blow may have been to The Viper’s ego four days earlier. Following an attack on WWE’s Apex Predator during his match against Mark Henry on the Raw Supershow, Rhodes placed one of his paper bags on his head in the ultimate act of humiliation. (WATCH)

Find out who will get his payback at Vengeance, this Sunday at 8/7 CT, only on pay-per-view.

World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry, Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes & Christian def. John Morrison, Sheamus & Randy Orton (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Randy Orton and Sheamus may be two of WWE’s most destructive competitors, but they’re not exactly team players. Looking to get his hands on his Vengeance opponent during this wild bout, The Viper chased the despicable Cody Rhodes out of the arena (MATCH PREVIEW) while The Celtic Warrior battered Christian through the crowd. All this mayhem left John Morrison alone in the ring with Mark Henry who crushed The Prince of Parkour with The World’s Strongest Slam for a decisive victory. The only question is: can he do the same thing to Big Show on Sunday?

Eve def. Natalya (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Before her showdown with the dangerous Diva from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the beautiful Eve was announced as Divas Champion Beth Phoenix’s opponent at Vengeance. (MATCH PREVIEW) It was a title opportunity the athletic competitor proved she deserved as she defeated Natalya with an impressive moonsault, giving her added momentum going into Sunday.

Randy Orton won a 41-Man No. 1 Contender's Battle Royal (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The night started with major news. With new Interim Raw GM John Laurinaitis at his side, Teddy Long announced the first match of the night would feature 41 Superstars in the largest Battle Royal in WWE history. Laurinaitis then revealed the winner would earn a title match against the champion of his choosing.

During the mayhem, powerhouses like Mason Ryan and Sheamus eliminated multiple Superstars. With bodies flying, a Brogue Kick from The Celtic Warrior sent The Miz careening from the ring. But since Miz didn’t go over the top rope, he was still in contention. In contrast, even though Christian was eliminated, in a devious move, he reentered the ring and took Sheamus out of the hunt.
As the field thinned down to the final two combatants, Miz found himself battling Randy Orton tooth-and-nail for the championship opportunity. With both Superstars tangling with each other on the ring apron, The Viper downed Miz with an RKO. In a wild finish, the momentum from the RKO carried both Superstars to the arena floor. But since Miz’s feet hit just before Orton’s, the victory went to The Viper.

What's gotten into Kelly Kelly?

Kelly Kelly has had enough.
It’s been more than a week since the feisty competitor brutalized Divas Champion Beth Phoenix in a fit of rage on the Oct. 3 Raw SuperShow and still she’s fired up by the mere mention of The Glamazon and her crony, Natalya.
“They’ve been torturing me and making me miserable for the last few months,” she told WWE.com in the locker room of Dallas' American Airlines Center. “Losing the title [to Beth at WWE Hell in a Cell] just topped it off. The next night, I let my frustrations get to me and I just let out everything I’ve been holding back.”
By the looks of her attack on Beth, Kelly had been holding back a lot. In a moment that many WWE fans likened to demonic possession, the perky blonde kicked and screamed as she unleashed hell on Beth Phoenix, repeatedly slamming The Glamazon’s head into the business end of the announcer’s table. (WATCH)
It was an aggressive side the friendly Diva suppressed for some time. Transitioning from the pages of bikini magazines to the WWE rings of Extreme Championship Wrestling in 2006, Kelly Kelly was an impressionable teenager when she first entered the rough world of sports-entertainment. Fun loving and naive, she made mistakes early like painting an American flag on her bare chest and dating the walking carpet known as Mike Knox. The Florida native soon found her way, though, developing as a singles competitor before finally capturing the Divas Championship in June of 2011.
But Kelly’s crowning achievement soon became a cross to bear when she was targeted by Beth & Natalya — two women who believed it was their purpose in life to “save” the Divas division. Labeling the beautiful blonde as a sham champion, the powerful duo offered Kelly no respect, routinely attacking her after matches and dismissing her as nothing more than a model trying to pass for a grappler.
Kelly weathered the abuse with the help of her good friend Eve and even beat Beth on two consecutive occasions, but something changed inside of her when The Glamazon defeated her for the Divas Championship at WWE Hell in a Cell with some outside help from Natalya. (PHOTOS)
“I was pretty devastated about how it happened,” Kelly admitted. “I felt like I got cheated out of the title and there was nothing I could do.”
Of course, Kelly did do something when she smashed Beth on the Raw SuperShow, revealing a ruthless side of herself that the WWE Universe hadn’t seen before.
“I’ve never done anything like that and I don’t know where it came from,” she said immediately following the incident.
The perfect blonde may have surprised even herself that night, but looking back now, she’s acutely aware of where "it" came from. In the five years since she debuted as a grinning exhibitionist, Kelly has fought back against negativity and naysayers to earn the respect of not only WWE fans, but the Divas locker room and she's not about to let her tormentors take that away from her.
“After five years, this is finally my time,” the determined Diva said. “I’m going to take it and I’m going to show people that I’m not just a pretty face.”
Sounding more confident and gritty than she ever has, Kelly made it clear that she will not settle until she reclaims the Divas Championship. And to the woman currently holding that title, she has this to say:
“There's much more of this side of me to come.”

Randy Orton def. World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry by Disqualification (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Less than two weeks before he faces Big Show at Vengeance (MATCH PREVIEW), Mark Henry clashed with Randy Orton and came very close to falling to WWE’s Apex Predator. After getting nailed with a devastating RKO, The World's Strongest Man was down for the count before a malicious Cody Rhodes attacked Orton for the second time in the bout. The Intercontinental Champion and Mark Henry brutalized the vulnerable Viper before Rhodes sent a humiliating message of contempt to his former mentor by putting a paper bag on his head.

Kelly Kelly & Eve def. Tamina & Rosa Mendes (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Still fired up following her brutal beat down of Beth Phoenix on last Monday’s Raw, Kelly Kelly came to fight with her good friend Eve by her side. Tempering the blonde beauty’s aggressiveness with her ring smarts, Eve capitalized on the punishment Kelly dished out by pinning Tamina for the win. Somewhere in the locker room, Beth & Natalya were watching this match very closely.

Will non-voters clash with protesters?

When many of the Superstars, Divas, officials and crew walked out of Raw SuperShow last Monday, in protest of the way Triple H is running the show's day-to-day operations, several notable names were absent. Where were John Cena, Sheamus and CM Punk? What about Randy Orton, Big Show, Mason Ryan, Kelly Kelly and Eve?
Some of these Superstars have taken their cases to Twitter, sharing their thoughts about The Game. (MORE) Some have remained silent so far on social media, such as Kelly Kelly and Eve. However, what do the Superstars who walked out think about those who weren’t even present at the vote of "no confidence” against the Chief Operating Officer?
The Superstars and Divas who didn’t protest on Monday will likely be in attendance at Raw SuperShow at Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Center. Triple H has confirmed that Cena, Punk, Orton, Sheamus and Big Show will indeed be there. Regardless, questions must be asked: If there is eventually a resolution to the walkout, how will these Superstars and Divas be treated by those who turned against The Game? Will it be back to taking care of business inside the squared circle, or will hostility linger toward those who are already being described in whispers as "scabs" - a derogatory term for those who continue working while their colleagues protest?
Tensions have already been high among WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio, Cena and Punk for months. Del Rio was a leader of the walkout, while Cena and Punk weren’t present at the vote. Should The Mexican Aristocrat happen to return to Raw SuperShow where he’s sure to encounter Cena and Punk, there’s no doubt the animosity felt between these Superstars will only deepen.
Divas Champion Beth Phoenix led a group of Divas, including Natalya, A.J., The Bella Twins and Rosa Mendes, who voted “no confidence” against Triple H. Notably missing were Kelly Kelly and Eve. Earlier on Raw SuperShow, an irate Kelly Kelly shockingly erputed, viciously attacking The Glamazon as retribution for her loss at WWE Hell in a Cell. (PHOTOS | WATCH) Therefore, it’s not really a surprise that Kelly and her friend, Eve, would back Beth’s feelings about Triple H’s performance as COO. Their rivalry is already severe, but after this walkout concludes (we're being optimistic), there’s no telling what could happen when these rival Divas meet again in the ring.
Then there's Big Show, who's returning from injuries sustained from an assault by World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry, who, rather ironically, also walked out. Is The World's Largest Athlete setting himself up to become The World's Largest Target? With other Superstars claiming there are unsafe working conditions on Raw SuperShow, the giant should be extra-cautious about where he steps in the ring. Perhaps he should look to WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler as an example. "The King" knows all too well about that after Henry threw him through a table a few weeks ago, prompting him to reluctantly walk out on the WWE COO.
Triple H has said Monday’s Raw SuperShow must go on. Beyond those he mentioned, it’s still a mystery which Superstars, Divas, officials and crew will be in Oklahoma City, and who will protest. Regardless, the tension between those who walked out and those who didn’t could hit an explosive point if they cross paths. It has to. And this time, it's not merely because of their competitive spirits. Superstars' animosities will be based on what the other believes, and there may be no amount of time that can heal such wounds.
