Randy Orton Predicts Rock vs. Cena, Hypes Match With Kane

recently spoke to CNYKiss.com to promote his match against Kane at Sunday’s WrestleMania 28, which he caims is the fourth biggest match on the card. Here are some highlights of what Orton said about:
Not Being In A Top Match This Year: “Being a part of WrestleMania is big enough whether I’m in a title match or not or whether I’m in a main event match. WrestleMania, there’s four main event matches every year. They have four top billed matches. We might still be one of those top four. We’ll know more as we get closer to the show and they start running ads and promos and vignettes for the matches. You definitely have Rock-Cena, Punk-Jericho, Triple H-Taker, and I think we might be that fourth. You never know, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan could take that from us. It is a title match, but I think there might be a little more people out there that want to see Kane-Orton as opposed to Sheamus-Daniel Bryan. That’s just me. Sheamus has been around a couple years, Daniel Bryan has been around less. I don’t know, I don’t know, we’ll just wait and see what happens. But no matter what match I have at WrestleMania, as long as I’m healthy and I can make the show and be a part of it, that’s good enough for me. This will be my eighth WrestleMania, I believe, that’s in a row, so with the few injuries I’ve had throughout my career, especially earlier on, I haven’t missed a WrestleMania, 20 all the way through 27.”
Triple H Returning At MSG Last Week: “He doesn’t do too many live events, so I think that was special for him. I think he’s getting the ring rust off, knocking it off and getting ready for April 1 is what he’s doing there, but there will always be a place in his heart for coming and entertaining the fans, whether it’s on TV or not. It just goes to show that anything can happen at The Garden.”
Rock vs. Cena: “Don’t be fooled, this isn’t all show right here. There is some legitimate hatred between these two guys and I think it’s going to make it all the more interesting, because they get in that ring with that many people, 80,000 some odd people, who knows what’s going to happen? Now what’s going to happen when we take the gloves off?”
Who Will Win Rock vs. Cena: “Oh, John Cena. I’d love to see him win 1-2-3 fair and square in the ring, no kind of stipulations last minute, no kind of run-ins at the last minute, no big schmoz going off the air where you see ten Rock Bottoms. I want to see John Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment in the middle of the ring.”

Daniel Bryan and Kane def. Randy Orton and Sheamus
World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan and Kane made big statements in a Tag Team Match with WrestleMania implications. The duo of Bryan and Kane looked impressive in defeating Sheamus and Randy Orton, as Bryan wore down The Great White with punishing kicks and Kane inflicted some painful strikes on The Viper. (PHOTOS | VIDEO)
But it was some timely distraction from Bryan's girlfriend, AJ, which ultimately threw Sheamus off his game when he tried to deliver a Brogue Kick, and allowed Bryan to capitalize for the pinfall following a chokeslam from Kane on The Great White.
Will Orton and Sheamus be able to get retribution and win when it matters most in Miami?

It looks like Eve has a new best friend – one that's toting some championship gold over her shoulder. Divas Champion Beth Phoenix proudly accompanied Eve to the ring for her match with Kelly Kelly -- a prelude to the Tag Team Match that will take place on April 1 between Kelly and "Extra" host Maria Menounos against Eve and Beth. (PHOTOS | VIDEO)
Perhaps brimming with a little too much confidence, Eve missed the mark with her signature moonsault from the top rope and Kelly Kelly took advantage for the victory. You can bet it'll be a tougher challenge once the Divas Champion is awaiting the tag in Eve's corner at WrestleMania.

Randy Orton vs. Kane preview

One of the fiercest rivalries in WWE is set to explode on The Grandest Stage of Them All and engulf the squared-circle in flames. At WrestleMania on April 1 in Miami, the WWE Universe will witness an epic showdown when ice-cold Randy Orton battles the fiery Kane.
The fuse to this volatile showdown was lit weeks ago on the Mar. 2 edition of SmackDown. Although Randy Orton returned from injury to face Daniel Bryan, his retribution was interrupted by The Big Red Monster. After causing Orton to lose the match by count-out, Kane brawled ringside with WWE’s Apex Predator. The melee culminated when Kane delivered a devastating chokeslam and the eerie words, “Welcome back, Randy.” The disturbed and enigmatic monster left both Orton and the WWE Universe confused as to the motivation behind the assault.
Several days later on the Mar. 5 edition of Raw SuperShow, Kane’s victory celebration over R-Truth was fleeting as a vengeful Viper came to the ring and hit his antagonist with a searing RKO. Orton also had a verbal rebuttal for The Devil’s Favorite Demon: “It’s good to be back.”
Four days later on SmackDown, amidst the conflict between General Managers Theodore Long and John Laurinaitis, Orton and Kane again clashed, brawling as the show went off the air.
When The Viper demanded an explanation from his adversary one week later, Kane surprisingly obliged and revealed footage of a Street Fight between the two brutal Superstars from SmackDown last summer. After losing the match, Kane offered a handshake – a rare show of humanity from The Big Red Monster. Still haunted by memories of this weakness, Kane vowed vengeance on Orton and promised to decimate him on The Grandest Stage of Them All at WrestleMania XXVIII.
Two of the most uncontrollable forces in WWE are on collision course. Will Kane exorcise his demons or will Randy Orton extinguish The Big Red Monster’s flames? Or will this explosive match guarantee mutually assured destruction? The answers lie in Miami on April 1 when Randy Orton meets Kane at The Showcase of the Immortals.

Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos vs. Divas Champion Beth Phoenix and Eve

Maria Menounos is stepping back into the squared circle again, and this time it'll be on The Grandest Stage of Them All. The host of NBC's Extra will team up with Kelly Kelly to take on Divas Champion Beth Phoenix and Eve at WrestleMania XXVIII on April 1.
It's a match two years in the making, as Beth and Eve have been caught in a bitter rivalry since late 2009. Menounos, who scored a shocking pinfall over Phoenix in an Eight-Diva Tag Team Match at WWE Tribute to the Troops in December, may face her toughest challenge yet in Miami, as both Beth and Eve want to teach a stern lesson to the versatile entertainer and competitor on Dancing with the Stars.
Menounos had invited some WWE Divas to chat with her on Extra, but Beth and Eve were nowhere to be found on the guest list. Instead, first it was Alicia Fox and The Bella Twins, and most recently Kelly Kelly, who got the call. The Glamazon seemed especially angered by Menounos' choice in Divas, claiming that "she doesn't respect the WWE Divas Champion."
A master intimidator, Phoenix took extreme measures to make sure Menounos couldn't simply shrug off The Glamazon's complaint. Beth and Eve flew out to L.A., crashed the set of Extra during a Kelly Kelly interview and got physical with Menounos before being pulled off by security. But Maria would not be rattled by the heated scuffle, and accepted Beth's challenge for WrestleMania without hesitation.
Beth has long taken exception with the fact that Kelly Kelly is the Diva most embraced by the media while The Glamazon has impressively held the coveted title for over five months and counting. Eve, on the other hand, feels entitled to fame, power and everything else she desires, and hasn't been afraid to break Superstars' hearts as she high-heel steps her way to the top. The determined vixen hasn't cared about losing friends, either. She continually shrugs off Kelly Kelly's harsh criticism on Twitter and it remains to be seen if the two will ever be able to mend their fractured relationship.
Menounos has performed quite admirably in WWE action, as she also was on the winning side of a Six-Diva Tag Team Match on the Oct. 12, 2009 edition of Raw. Menounos, a guest star that night, didn't back down from The Glamazon in that contest as well, giving Phoenix a slap in the face that was never forgotten. However, Beth and Eve have looked more dangerous than ever lately and ready to show why they're the cream of the crop in the Divas division – and why the entertainment show anchor doesn't belong in a WWE ring, let alone at The Show of Shows.
Will Menounos be able to prove the dominant duo wrong? Can Kelly Kelly humble Eve with physical punishment rather than tweets? Expect both scores to be settled at WrestleMania XXVIII.

Randy Orton def. Jack Swagger

What at first looked like a tune-up match for a fired-up Randy Orton turned into a surprising physical fight against Jack Swagger. The All-American American used his size to his advantage and appeared to be close to pulling off the upset, but it was a one-way trip to RKO City for Swagger, much to a screaming Vickie Guerrero's dismay. (WATCH | PHOTOS)
While Orton struck his signature pose on the top turnbuckle, the lights hauntingly went red and Kane's pyro rocked the arena. The Big Red Monster, though, was nowhere to be seen. Will Kane continue to stalk The Viper at his every turn?

Randy Orton & Sheamus & Big Show triumph in a Six-Man Tag Team Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In the critical final minutes of the six-man tag team main event, Big Show chased his WrestleMania adversary – Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes – to the back while Sheamus brought the fight outside the ring to his Showcase of the Immortals foe – World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan. This left legal Superstars Randy Orton and The Miz inside the squared-circle to settle things. And after WWE’s Apex Predator escaped the Skull Crushing Finale, he would ultimately rise above, executing the RKO on his outspoken opponent for the three-count.
As the smoke cleared, the monstrous Kane once again emerged to engage The Viper. Fueled by their combined fury, the battle between the two brutal forces of nature reached new heights, as they launched into an uncontrollable onslaught that quickly spread into the crowd.

Eve def. Alicia Fox (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After admitting on last week’s Raw SuperShow that she has no qualms about using men to get what she wants, the newly cold-hearted Eve faced Alicia Fox in a brief battle that ended when Eve rolled up Alicia. During the bout, Kelly Kelly, fresh off a Twitter war with Eve, sat in on commentary and spoke with disappointment of her former friend’s troubling new attitude.
After the match, Zack Ryder, with the help of a walking cane, appeared on stage before the WWE Universe. Long Island Iced-Z tersely told Eve that he’s glad they never hooked up, and he reiterated an aphorism that's quickly become the stuff of legend: “Broskis before Hoeskis.”
Moments later, Eve locked lips with a stunned Ryder in the backstage area. (WATCH)

Kane def. R-Truth (PHOTOS | WATCH)
R-Truth, one of the six Superstars laid out by Kane’s ambush last Monday, used his speed and agility to build a furious, but fleeting, onslaught early on. Before long, Kane’s power took over, and The Big Red Monster bullied Truth around the ring. Truth mounted a slight comeback, but after missing a scissor-kick, he fell victim to a chokeslam.
As Kane stood victorious, Randy Orton – who The Big Red Machine rudely welcomed back to SmackDown last Friday night – approached the ring. With Truth holding onto his leg, Kane was sitting prey for The Viper, who nailed an RKO and told Kane, “It’s good to be back.”

World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan def. Randy Orton by Count-out (WATCH | PHOTOS)
After Daniel Bryan attacked Randy Orton on the Feb. 13 edition of Raw SuperShow (WATCH) – thereby denying him his spot in the SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match, a possible World Heavyweight Title and a chance to headline WrestleMania – WWE's Apex Predator returned to SmackDown on a venomous quest of retribution.
In the punishing encounter that ensued Friday night, Bryan managed to escape two RKO’s before retreating outside the ring, with The Viper fast on his tail. However, just as Orton was about to deliver a devastating DDT onto the ringside floor, the vicious Kane suddenly emerged. Seizing the unexpected opportunity, Bryan hurled Orton into the steel ring post before jumping through the ropes to win the match by count-out.
Without skipping a beat, The Big Red Monster and WWE’s Apex Predator began an intense post-match brawl, one which culminated in Orton receiving an earth-shattering chokeslam to the canvas. Seizing the mic, the sadistic Kane leaned down toward the battle-worn Viper and eerily stated, "Welcome back."
Moments before SmackDown went off the air, an observing John Laurinaitis - who will assume the duties of SmackDown GM next Friday (STORY) - alluded that he may put Kane in a match against Theodore Long's girlfriend, Aksana. (WATCH)
